About this property

New fully remodeled studio apartment with teak furniture throughout and remote work capabilities. Located close to down town, beach, public transportation, gym, and grocery store.

The space
We are renting our newly remodeled guest studio here in sunny Aruba. It is located very close to the beach (a short 3 minutes walk) bus stop and supermarkets (2 minutes walk). Basically this unit is a stone throw from everything in Aruba.

The units has a new PVC kitchen with quartz countertop and two burner induction stove top, microwave, coffee maker, toaster etc. The apartment has a queen size bed, dining table with two chairs for dining or working remotely. It naturally has private bathroom hot water rainshower. On the premises are a coin operated washer and dryer, a pool with loungers for sun tanning and a huge Palapel (covered area), BBQ as well as free Wi-Fi (up to 200Mbps down!).

Within walking distance we have a big supermarkets(Ling & Sons) for your daily groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables. There are some great food places like The Kitchen, Wendy's, Tatami Sushi bar and Cinnabon and many more all within a short 10 minutes walk. We also have a gym close by (My Fitness 3) to keep you fit during your stay with us. The public bus stop is a short 3 minute walk and most of our guest do not rent a car for your stay, but you might rent one for a day or so to go exploring. The closest beach is called Druif Beach and it is the beach where the low rise hotels are located like the Divi Dutch Village and The Tamarijn.

We also provide many additional services such as pick up/drop off service at the airport for $30.

We are here to ensure your trip to Aruba and your stay at Stone Throw is a memorable and enjoyable one and having you want to come back over and over again!

Other things to note
There is a cat on the premises called Bea. She is mostly an inside cat but sometimes walks around outside. We also have a stray dog (Pooch) living across our street that we sort of have adopted and take care off. Sometimes he wanders in lays under the dining table and sleeps the whole day

Perfect

The hosts were very accommodating they thought of everything. You need really to bring yourself and a bathing suit. I couldn't have planned a better stay myself! Located in a quiet neighborhood.

Wonderful week at StoneThrow

Rik and Karen are the absolute best hosts! We took Rik up on his $30 offer for airport pickup and return. It made arrival to a new place and departure a breeze. Rik was a fountain of knowledge about the island and what to do. He's always available and ready to help in anyway. Now about the place, as other people stated, the "compound" is 8 units surrounding a nice pool area. The units have kitchens which will help you save $$ on your vacay as the restaurants in Aruba (as on most islands) are a bit pricey. Our unit (which is the biggest one, I believe) has a separate bedroom with a king bed. You have your own patio area in front with a table and 4 chairs which I spent a lot of morning time, drinking coffee and catching up with a good Wifi signal. The location of StoneThrow is in between the hotels and downtown. It's a healthy walk to both areas. However, you have access to several cruiser bikes to help you get around. You're also very close to the beach area and the main drag with busses running every 15 minutes. We rented a car of a few days which I highly recommend. Overall, a wonderful stay. All the other guests were very friendly and welcoming which added to our enjoyment during our time on "One Happy Island".

Aruba( first time using VRBO)

Apartment was absolutely perfect. It was actually much nicer in person than the pictures! The hosts (Ric and Karen) were friendly and full of suggestions to make our week even better than expected. We were celebrating a birthday and they even went to a bakery for us. How awesome is that! Other guests were friendly and quiet. The pool is a perfect size to cool down in. Probably our best vacation yet.

Perfect!!!

From booking to check in to stay and departure, Rik was AMAZING!!! He picked us up from the airport as well as dropped off for $30. An amazing service. Once picked up, Rik took the time to drive around town to show us the where and what’s about. He Made great recommendations of beaches to visit and wheee to eat. He was sooo accessible to answer any questions we had. The actual accommodation was perfect for us. Lots is space, beautiful patio and pool area. I can’t think of any place better to be or a better host. Thx Rik! The world shall be spread!

Quiet oasis

Once you close the gate, you enter into a private oasis that you share with a few other guests; a pool with beautiful murals, flowering shrubs, birds and butterflies. A large wooden table with teak chairs under a canopy to keep you cool. The amazing, informative, helpful, friendly owners supply coolers, bicycles, snorkeling equipment, etc. They have thought of everything you could need while vacationing! Quiet location, yet so close to shopping, beaches, etc. We so enjoyed our six night stay at ‘Stone Throw’!! Would highly recommend!!

Why they chose this property

We purchased this in 2009 as investment property and slowly turned it from long term rental to vacation rentals. We have nine units in total on our property and we rent six to guest. We live our selves in one and use two units for long term rental income.

What makes this property unique

Our complex is located a Stone-throw from everything Aruba. Beach, town, super market, public transportation etc. etc. all is close by so renting a car becomes optional instead of mandatory as is with most rentals in Aruba. We provide free bikes so be active and explore our paradise!
