About this property

PRIVATE LAKE ESTATE - 25 ACRES OF WILDLIFE

A 'Naturally Appealing' Setting
Cathedral ceilings with walls of windows at our newly-constructed lodge bring in the outdoors. Relax on the large deck as you watch deer, turkeys, pheasants, and even bald eagles in their natural environment. Hear the loons and owls as they call. Tickle the ivories on the Baldwin grand piano. In the evenings, toast marshmallows at a crackling fire in the deck’s fire pit. Or enjoy a movie by the stone fireplace in the luxury of your living room.

Accommodation
Our 4-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home can comfortably sleep ten guests. Please note the full list of amenities. The kitchen is equipped for larger groups

Parking
Parking is available for two cars under the attached carport, and two more next to the house. There is a detached 2-car garage just above the house, and additional parking for 2-3 larger vehicles on the garage apron.

Tucked away on 25-acres of pristine hills of hardwoods with its own three-acre lake, Crystal Lake Lodge is a family-owned 4,000+ sq. ft. property that offers luxurious accommodation with all modern amenities and complete privacy in a fabulous natural setting. It is a destination in itself. Just 3 minutes from historic Elkhart Lake’s Farmers' Market, and Road America’s main gate, the Lodge is 7 minutes from Plymouth and 15 minutes from Sheboygan, Lake Michigan and Kohler. In winter, the groomed trails of the Kettle Moraine State Park beckon. This is an ideal spot to spend a weekend away from the world and to take advantage of Wisconsin vacationing at its very best!
Please note, rates vary by occupancy. The guest fee applies to parties greater than 8 persons. (These may be reduced for multiple children.) Road America and golf event weekends will have higher rental prices than the seasonal rate, and longer minimum stays. Thank you!

Great Place
First, thanks Michael for making your house available, and Mike for keeping the property in great shape. It was great. For those of you considering renting this property. My wife and I returned to Wisconsin to meet our kids and grandkids for a 4 night family reunion in July. The pictures and description accurately portray the house. The kitchen is nicely furnished, the wifi worked great, even with the large number of concurrent connections we had going, plenty of towels, and a great set of decks. The grandkids really enjoyed playing in the spacious outdoor yard. The location provided a relaxing (although you can hear some background noise from Road America during the day) retreat, with quick access to Plymouth, Elkhart Lake, and the Northern Kettle Moraine. I can highly recommend that you consider this property, specially if you’re looking for a larger home in which to host a family/group get together. Michael, nest time I’ll give you six stars, if you can work out an arrangement with the local officials so that you can open up the pool to your renters.

About the host

Hosted by MICHAEL D GROSS

Host profile image
The owner, a superb classical pianist (hence the living room grand piano), purchased the original A-frame house in 1976 as a summer home for working as a doctor at nearby Harand Camp, now the site of Osthoff's. Three generations of family have enjoyed the beautiful area and property in all four seasons. In 2004-5, the house was rebuilt completely and expanded to accommodate his growing family and to upgrade it to a level befitting the natural beauty of its setting. For many years, one of his sons worked as a volunteer track physician for Road America and raised his children on racing but the demands of education have reduced our use of the Lodge over time. So, for a decade we have welcomed guests, along with racing teams, to fill the house and enjoy it as we do!

Why they chose this property

Private 3 Acre Lake in secluded Kettle Moraine Bowl

What makes this property unique

Proximity to the racetrack just a couple of miles away but complete isolation from Neighbors
