Met all needs and expectations

It is perfectly located for the track and casino. Neighbors were friendly and waved hello. I did purchase some additional drink glasses as there were not enough for our crowd and left them for future users. We had a great time and plan on scheduling again next year

Wedding Weekend

We stayed for a wedding over the weekend. Communication was great with owner. House was nice, beds were super comfy and shower pressure was great. Plenty of hot water for 7 people to get ready. Overall exactly what we needed. Would recommend!

Not everything is as it seems

The listing photos are very misleading. The house is very run down, inside and out, and needs some work. The bath tub had no stopper, the dining room chairs were very unstable, especially the bench which was about to fall apart. The downstairs shower has no curtain so water sprays everywhere making it slippery and hazardous. The basement door didn't open which would be very dangerous in case of a fire. There was only one chair for the poker table and none for sitting outside. The dryer throws lint everywhere in the room, so be prepared for a mess if you use it. There were dirty dishes in the cupboards. There's so many little improvements that could be made to make this a great place to stay, but it appears the owners don't care to put any money into the property (soffit pieces were also falling down in the back of the house and insulation was scattered in the yard). Also, if anyone sleeps downstairs, they won't get any sleep due to the floor creaking with every movement upstairs (I understand this is one thing out of the owner's control, but just an fyi) and also voices carry all the way through the house. This house has potential to be great, but not in its current state. The owner also explicitly asks you to give a 5 star review after your stay (stating they'll do the same for you) and to let them know any issues privately and not via public review, so maybe that is why there hasn't been as many negative reviews on here as there should be.

Oaklawn Rockstar

We were in town for the Oaklawn/Arkansas Derby with friends and family. Great location for the race track, casino, and downtown Hot Springs. Felt safe walking to and from the track/casino. House accommodates a large group. Has all the essentials you need for a stay. Loved the painted wall murals. Nice touch.
