Runaway Retreat is a Family friendly 2 bedroom, 1 bath fully furnished home located right in the center of Rockport. Just 4 blocks from Little Bay, nature lovers will be thrilled with its proximity to the Connie Hagar Wildlife Sanctuary, the Demo Bird Garden just down the street, and the Tule Creek Hike and Bike Trail. The migrating birds are great to watch every spring and fall from the shaded back porch. Hummingbirds, Painted Bunting, Indigo Bunting, Orioles, Cardinals, Goldfinches, Mockingbirds, and Red Shouldered Hawks have all visited the back garden! You don’t even need to move from your patio chair to enjoy a great variety of birds. This home is close to the Fulton and Rockport harbors and the owners love catching local fish and crab or buying them fresh off the boats. A fireworks 'peekaboo view' can be seen off the back porch on July 4th. Rockport Beach Park and the Festival grounds are just a short 3 minute drive from the house. Newly Remolded with all the comforts of home and a nice big size yard with a patio to relax on a long hot day, This house is ready for your next vacation any time of the year!

This home has a nice big yard and large driveway, which can accommodate a Boat or RV there is also a 30 Amp-RV hookup available for a extra fee.

Weekend Getaway

The house was clean and better than expected. The parking, while not truly described well in the listing was a bit challenging late at night with a boat in tow. We managed but would have liked to have been better prepared.
