Let's start with the good: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! This is a beautiful beachfront room. Also - the people were very pleasant to deal with - both the person who handled the booking and the couple who managed the property. Very helpful, quick to respond, very kind and easy to communicate with. The room itself was disappointing - and the word "luxurious" in the listing is very misleading. The furniture is tattered and old; the only 2 small night tables with drawers to put your things and the drawer on one side was broken with no handle. The bed was not very comfortable and sagged on one side. Bed linens were average - far from 'luxurious'. Kitchen very basic and lacking some staples. There's salt but no pepper. A few battered pots & pans but very limited cooking utensils. No tongs! The whole room needs a paint job. The blind across the screen door is on it's last legs and tricky to use - it's going to fall completely off its hinges any day now. The sliding door was stiff and difficult to open & close - which they clearly know about b/c there's a note in the room warning you that if you break the key in the lock they'll charge you $10 to fix it.
SO! To recap: LOCATION- Si! People - Terrific! Room: not up to par for the price - but let's face it - you're really paying for the location. I just don't think they should advertise it as "luxurious" when it isn't.
