About Vaggelis Nikolidakis
In 1976 I started a small cafe at the beach of Kalamaki. In that time it was a very small village without any tourists and it was the first cafe here. I learned a lot about hospitality, organisation and tourism and I liked it a lot. Since more and more people were asking for a place to stay I started to built the hotel. Guests who came in that time and their children are still coming every year. In 1992 I noticed that there was a need for a good, reliable car rental company. I funded Oleander car Rental with the same basic idea: everything has to be first class. We provide you with just the right modern and safe car with full insurance for your island exploration. in 2002 I have built 3 luxurous villas on a hill between Kalamaki and Kamilari. The houses were built with natural stones, using wooden elements. The complete equipment of the houses meet the highest standards and offers everything you need to spend a comfortable stay.

Die Angaben im Inserat stimmen vollkommen überein. Der Zustand des Domizils ist hervorragend. Die deutschsprachige Betreuung ist perfekt. Ich kann jedem Individualtouristen diese ruhige Entspannungs- und Wohlfühloase wärmsten empfehlen. Pure Natur, Ruhe, wahnsinniger Rundumblick(bis Gavdos, Matala, Psiloritis, Dikti-Gebirge im Osten), keine Einsicht auf das Grundstück(auf einem uneinsichtigem Hügel gelegen) und trotzdem mit dem PKW in drei Minuten in Kalamaki oder Kalamari. Sonnenaufgang über dem Dikti-Gebirge und Sonnenuntergang über dem Lybischen Meer. Der Wintergarten lässt sich komplett öffnen. Oleander bietet ein komplettes Konzept an. Fahrzeug wird am Flughafen komplikationslos übergeben, KM-frei! Es gibt im Stammhaus (Hotel Philharmonie) einen hauseigenen Motorradverleih zu günstigen Preisen. Ich bekam Austauschservice am Schadensort!!!l, ich hatte einen Platten-funktionierte umgehend und ohne grosse Bürokratie. Ansonsten läuft alles perfekt mit Verträgen und Freundlichkeit ab. Nette Poolbar mit familiärem Flair im Hotel in Kalamaki (Philharmonie). Einkauf für die Selbstversorgung: Supermärkte in Kalamaki mit Bäckerei und ein kleiner in Kalamari, letzterer hat Fleisch. Wer grössere Auswahl braucht, findet nach 10min Autofahrt am Ortseingang von Timbaki rechts oder nach 15min in Mires am Ortsausgang links einen Carrefour. In Mires ist das Angebot(frisches Fleisch und Käsetheke)deutlich grösser. Wer Wert auf typisches Essen legt, ist bei Kelari(Kalamari Ortseingang links-15min zu Fuss oder 2min Autofahrt)an der richtigen Adresse. Hier werden die frisch gekochten Speisen noch im Kochtopf in der Küche gezeigt und individuell nach Wunsch zusammengestellt. Wer einen Sonnenuntergang direkt am Meer mag, der muss nach Kalamaki auf die übersichtliche Strandpromenade. Wir waren bei Aristidis, typische regionale einfachere Speisen zu fairen Preisen. Vorwiegend waren wir zum Wandern auf der Insel. Die beeindruckendsten Wanderungen waren zum Südkap mit anschliessendem Bad in der nächstgelegenen östlichen Bucht und die Besteigung des Psiloritis nach eingehender Beobachtung des Wetterberichtes. Der Rundumblick über die gesamte Insel ist ein Wahnsinn! Wir können den Anbieter nur empfehlen. Christine und Uli

Kalamaki is a small village, situated at the sparsely populated south coast of central Crete - at the edge of the Messara, between Agia Galini and Matala, directly on the Libyan sea.
In Kalamaki you will enjoy a delightful, unspoiled landscape on a mile-long quiet sandy beach. The sunsets are spectacular over the uninhabited islands of Paximadia. Kalamaki is especially ideal for individuals and all travelers who are interested in relaxed moments. But also meeting people and have fun.
You will find hospitality and warmth in the small tavernas, all in quiet settings on the beach promenade. All the tavernas offer traditional freshly cooked Greek food (not easily found in the mass tourism resorts) and guests are welcomed to use sun beds and umbrellas free of charge.
In the neighberhood here it gives monasteries, ancient ruins, caves, gorges and glamorous old villages.
