About this property

Wooded Cottage w/ Game Room/Fire pit/1mi to Beach

Summary:
ABOUT THE SPACE

Are you looking for the perfect Lake Michigan getaway? Look no further than this stylish, spacious, and immaculately maintained cottage. Located in the charming town of Holland (just 2.5 hrs from Detroit and Chicago), your vacation here will be filled with endless opportunities for fun and relaxation. 4 bedrooms (with sleeping for 12!), 3 bathrooms, a firepit, game room, yard games, and a prime location less than a mile from the beach make this the perfect spot to reconnect with

The Space:
This lakeside cottage was designed around creating the ideal family vacation experience—a place everyone will enjoy, and a place where you’ll make countless memories. We chose this home for its private, woodland setting; any stress is sure to ease away the moment you arrive. The aesthetic of the home is modern and cozy, and it’s filled with unique touches such as beautiful handcrafted banisters, stunning floors through the main living space, skylights, and stunning warm pine walls surrounding the living room.

Upon entering, follow the lovely staircase up to be greeted by the open concept, light-flooded living, kitchen, and dining rooms—the layout makes it easy for your group to spread out but remain connected. The living room, with its deep, comfortable sofas, fireplace, skylights, smart TV (with cable), and board games, beckons you to let loose and relax. The fully-stocked kitchen(plates, utensils, cups, salt/pepper, olive oil) with gas range and tons of counter space will make it easy for the chefs in the family to prepare multi-course meals (or for you to simply fix your morning coffee or pour a glass of wine after the day’s activities). Enjoy your meal at the peninsula/breakfast bar, in the large adjacent dining area, or take your food outdoors in the warmer months; the deck is just off the dining room and has an outdoor dining table with seating for seven. There’s also a grill.

Speaking of outdoors, the yard is one of the gems of the property. Take that favorite beverage and go lounge in one of the several Adirondack chairs surrounding the firepit for a low key evening. If competition is more your speed, we have quite the selection of lawn games–cornhole, washers, Kan Jam, and Spikeball. If it gets too dark or too chilly, continue the fun indoors in the game room, where you’ll find foosball, air hockey, an arcade machine, and a 65” TV. There truly is something for everyone.

When it’s time to wash up and rest, there’s plenty of room to spread out. All bedrooms have brand new plush mattresses. Upstairs you’ll find a bedroom with a king bed and another with a queen bed and full bunk bed. Downstairs is a third bedroom with a queen bed and a fourth bedroom with another full bunk bed, and two additional foldable cots. There are three full modern bathrooms (two upstairs and one downstairs). Soft, high-quality towels, linens, and bath soaps are included with your stay.

We can’t wait to host you!

Great home for family get away!
This house was perfect for our family vacation! It has a great set up for multiple people or families. It is well stocked with anything you need. It is close to the beaches and downtown Holland. The property owner was great at communicating. I’d highly recommend staying here when visiting the west side of Michigan.

Great host that is improving the home
I want to start by staying Aaron is a fabulous host. The refrigerator and oven stopped working our first day. He brought us a mini fridge to get us by. He tried getting a repair man and when they didn't show he replaced the appliances within a couple days. We also found there to be some items missing that we were expecting to have on hand. Aaron ordered them and had them delivered the next day. I took a star off because the house still needs a little TLC (mainly in the basement). I spoke to Aaron about this and he said he plans to do some remodeling later this year and he feels he has it appropriately priced based on the current condition. It is in a great location if you want to do things in the Holland area. There is a really nice fire pit in the back yard that we enjoyed in the evenings. We also thoroughly enjoyed the air hockey table in the downstairs game room. We had a total of 7 guests and we had plenty of space to do things together both in the upstairs living/dining/kitchen area and the downstairs game room.
