Follow the elegant spiral staircase up to the loft, where you'll find a work desk and bonus sleeping area.

There's no shortage of entertainment right here on the property. Explore Echota Resort's 25-acre riverside park hiking trails or splash year-round at the enormous indoor pool and hot tub beneath a vaulted ceiling with skylights. Head outside to the mountain view pool with a rock waterfall feature in the summer. Get active on the bocce/croquet court or one of the fitness centers and then relax at one of the TV lounges or relax on one of the patios with a book from a library. Gamers can head to the on-site arcade or shoot some pool.

If you choose to venture farther out, you'll be a short drive away from ski resorts and Grandfather Mountain State Park.

Less than a mile away, the small town of Foscoe is home to a handful of restaurants, convenience stores, and more. While there are two stocked ponds close by, the Watauga River crosses Foscoe and offers excellent fishing year-round, so don't forget your rod and tackle. Check out the mile-long Otter Falls Trail just five miles from your door. And when the snow is falling, shred powder on the slopes of Sugar Mountain, just eight miles away, or visit Beech Mountain Ski Resort, just over 15 miles northeast.
