Enchanted cottage NOT so enchanted

The location of this property and scenery from the front porch was very welcoming and serene.However, after spending a chunk of money to buy groceries to cook an incredible meal using the barbecue near the front porch and or the oven for my fiancée, and two daughters, ages 6 and 14, not so good. The barbecue was rotted and falling apart inside. The oven did not work, it gave us an F3 code when we attempted to use it. That being said, my mom, who rented this house for us, contacted the owner, Raquel. Raquel did finally offer to PayPal my fiancée $50 so we could go out to have dinner. Raquel did say that she would do all the repairs needed to make this home livable in the future. Point being, make sure you check all the amenities when you arrive to make sure they are working. The hot water tank kicked off as well. This was an easy fix for me to do...

Not an enchantied cabin

The place was much smaller than pictures lead us to believe. Once we got there I went to cook in the oven and it was broken. I let the host know right away. We stayed a month and it never got fixed. We dealt with cockroaches from the day we arrived. We woke up one day to cement delivery at 6:30 am and a guy doing cement work all day. No communication from host anything was going to happen. We made it work and even fixed the table in living room. Would not stay there again.

The property was way better than staying in the actual villages but can visit in 5mins.

Convenient

We were in town for a fishing tournament. Getting in and out was a little tight but doable. Other than that it was exactly what we were looking for.

The Enchanted Cabin that Didn’t Add Up.

The owner of property gave me a hard time when arriving saying that I had to many people and called me dumb. I clearly listed that I would have 4 people staying with me and she acted like she had no clue. After staying there for A day we found three cockroaches. One smushed in between the microwave door. A baby cockroach in one of the pots we wanted to cook with and another just laying on the floor. The lady insisted on us leaving a 100$ dollars as soon as we got there for cleaning services. This did not make any since to me since it is already included in the bill when I booked it through VRBO.
