About this property

The Patito: Walk to the Zoo, Cafes and Restaurants

Stylish, cozy, and family-friendly home walkable to downtown, the zoo, bars and cafes – live like a local.

Centrally located in a quaint neighborhood just blocks from the Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Aquarium - and the vibrant and historic Central Avenue in the heart of downtown, the Patito is great for family get-aways, business travelers and long-term stays. Built in 1916, the Patito is a clean and cozy bungalow with coved ceilings, hardwood floors, a spacious patio and yard for your enjoyment.

The home sits on a corner lot and has a small adobe wall that surrounds the house to provide an enclosed yard. There is plenty of street parking in front of the house.

Guests have the entire home to themselves. We have a large fenced yard, back patio, small front porch and a large park one block from our house.

When you stay at the Patito, you have complete privacy. We will not be on-site.

The Barela’s neighborhood is a historic working class neighborhood that feels very laid-back. The neighborhood is in transition and is composed of a mix of young professionals, legacy families and new families moving to the neighborhood.

It is also just a few blocks from the First Friday’s Art Walk where artists from across the city convene to show their works.

The Patito is in a highly walkable neighborhood. There are also transit lines nearby. Lyft and Uber are also accessible in addition to rentable bikes and scooters.

You will love the location! We are one block from a neighborhood bakery where you can buy freshly baked bread, we are two blocks from the zoo and you have countless coffee shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment options just a few blocks away. Not to mention the Bosque Trail for hiking and biking nearby!

Great Location
We traveled to Albuquerque to have time with family. We loved The Patito! It was close to many places we wanted to visit. The home was comfortable and nicely stocked with kitchen equipment. My adult children loved playing the board games that were available. The owner was amazing to rent from. We ended up having to stay an extra day because of a snow storm. The owner got us all situated for an extra night, super easy and so accommodating. I would definitely stay there again.
