Neßmersiel is a small, quiet seaside resort, high up with a fresh breeze, on the East Frisian North Sea coast.

The comfortably located Sieldorf lies in the protection of the dikes (sea dyke, old Westerdeich and old Osterdeich), at the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, World Natural Heritage. The Störtebekerstrasse runs south of the village.

Störtebekerstraße is today's country road along the coast (former sea route from Klaus Störtebeker, who once sailed here with his ship).

The dikes, the salt marshes and the Wadden Sea offer pure nature! Experience and relax is the motto. The walker on the dike offers an unforgettable panorama both from the lake side with the islands of Baltrum, Norderney and Langeoog - the lighthouse of Norderney sends its greetings - as well as from the inland. The small, red-roofed Frisian houses in front of the dike and the stately Gulfhöfe surrounded by meadows and grain fields convey peace and serenity.



Our seaside resort offers guests a 25,000 square meter; large sandy beach, beach chairs and playground as well as a separate dog beach. A surf zone, ideal for wind and kite surfing. A port with a ferry pier for the Baltrum ferry and a marina. Holiday homes and apartments, hotels and private guest rooms, restaurants, tea rooms etc. Bicycle rental, bike and paddle station, various farm shops and a hay hotel. A newly built family leisure center "Sturmfrei"
with W e l l e s b e r e i c h has been available with varied and good offers since the beginning of the 2008 season.



Neßmersiel is the "mecca" of mudflat hikers. Wadden tours to Baltrum and Norderney are offered almost every day, at low tide on foot across the sea floor and with all your senses to feel and absorb the unique Wadden Sea habitat.

The towns of Norden, Esens, Wittmund, Aurich and Emden are located in the vicinity of Neßmersiel, between approx. 15 - 50 km away. In the East Frisian area you will find good bike paths along the dikes, fields and meadows, villages with old brick churches, water castles, windmills, siel ports with fishing boats and many museums.

You can also take the sea ferries to the beautiful East Frisian islands such as Langeoog from Bensersiel or Norderney and Juist from Norddeich.

The holiday apartment

Our beautiful apartment is a two-room apartment on two floors, with a total size of approximately 35sqm. It consists of 2 rooms, in addition to the modern bathroom and the sleeping area on the upper floor, the living and dining area is on the lower floor. These two floors are connected by a wooden spiral staircase. There is a separate sitting area at the house with a table, chairs and parasol, which can be used for relaxing or just for breakfast. In addition, the apartment has a communal shed and a communal sunbathing lawn, which can be used for barbecuing (barbecue is available) or lingering. A washing machine is located in the community shed and can be used for a fee.
Our apartment is suitable for up to 4 people (3 adults and 1 child up to 14 years). There is also a travel cot and a high chair free of charge for our little ones.
Dogs can of course be brought along and are welcome.
WiFi is also available and can be used free of charge.(From 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

In our apartment, which is located on the quiet outskirts of Neßmersiel, in the municipality of Dornum, away from the tourist crowds, you will find peace and relaxation in the healthy North Sea climate. It is the ideal vacation home and the perfect starting point to explore the East Frisian coastal landscapes from here. The town center, with some restaurants, cafes and shops, can be reached in about 30 - 40 minutes on foot, as well as the harbor and the beach with a separate dog beach as well as an agility facility for your four-legged friend and much more.
By bike you are there in about 10 - 15 minutes. From there you can also take the ferry to Baltrum Island. This is a traffic-free island.

The islands of Norderney and Juist are around 10 km away
and can be easily reached by ferry from the tourist town of Norddeich.
You can reach the car-free island of Langeoog from the tourist town of Bensersiel, also 10 km from Neßmersiel.

There is a lot to discover for the children in Neßmersiel.
After all, you can't always take care of your parents - in Neßmersiel they have enough variety to spend a few hours alone. And for little pirates and budding East Frisians, for beauty queens and climbing artists, there is enough time to experience the most exciting things in the indoor play park Sturmfrei, on the Wadden Sea or in the SeeparkWest.

Our apartment in Neßmersiel is available for your vacation on the North Sea from 4:00 p.m.
If you are arriving after 8:00 p.m., please briefly inform the administrator.
Departure should be made by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.
