Come cozy up in this nicely stocked home in a convenient village location. Enjoy the private back yard with a cold one after a long day of hiking. This home is a block from the rail trail which allows snowmobiling in the winter and walking/biking the rest of the year. Lake colby beach a mile away, Lower Saranac canoe and kayak carry a mile away, and all that downtown Saranac lake has to offer! Short 10 minute drive to Lake Placid, and 30 minutes from Whiteface mountain.

Perfect for a low key family

We were in town for a hockey tournament and it was a perfect place to stay so we didn't have to eat every meal out. We were in and out for games and didn't have any issues. The host let us check in an hour early so we could unpack before our first game. Overall great experience--would stay here again next year.

visit with Gran Kids

Enjoyed though the weather was very cold. Cozy and warm upstairs. Kitchen utensils needs a few upgrades.Notification of very steep stairs would also be beneficial. Overall we really enjoyed the location and space.Thank you!

Handy location, charming home

There was 6 of us that stayed (5 adults, one child) in this cute house. It's an old house, but beautifully decorated and super convenient to the area. The house is in a very quiet blue collar neighborhood, not far from downtown Saranac Lake village and really close to grocery, pharmacy, package store, etc. We stayed in the Winter time, and the streets were plowed and ready for our daily trips back and forth from Lake Placid (we were responsible for shoveling the driveway & steps, so make sure you're able to do that if necessary). Our bed was super comfortable, and the house was warm and cozy. Pizza one night from Nonna Fina was excellent, and the Blue Line Brew Pub just outside of town had pretty good food, too, but the house has a full kitchen if you want to cook in. Two bathrooms were handy for our good sized group. All in all, a comfortable, attractive home base for your year round area activities.
