This brand new single bedroom home sleeps 2 & offers the perfect retreat- whether you need some downtime to yourself or a few nights away with that someone special. This charming home features a covered patio, complete with a gazebo & bar, your own private dock, & a gorgeous view of the lake. You can’t deny- this ‘shack’ is on a whole other level! And it’s all just a few minutes away from delicious coastal cuisine, great live music, and the Lake’s best rum runners & pain frozens!

There is something for everyone here at the Lake, whether you are looking for a family friendly vacation, romantic getaway, outdoor adventure, shopping trip, or a round of golf. This is a studio bedroom, 1-bathroom newly updated house on the water. Located on the 17.5 mile marker, just down the road from one of the most popular restaurants at the lake, Backwater Jacks. With an adult pool, tiki/sushi bar, a full restaurant, and boat rentals, there is hardly reason to drive when you can walk to everything you need.

The private dock has easy access for swimming and fishing. Come relax and unwind at this cozy getaway.

Spider Haven

While we loved the outdoor area, the whole place was covered in spider webs when we arrived, inside and outside. The outside was littered with debris from the trees, and all of the table spaces and chairs were covered with layers of dirt and spider webs. There were spiders in every crook and crevice inside the cabin as well. Other reviews stated lack of WiFi as an issue, and I confirmed before we went, WiFi was not provided. Other reviews also stated there was no TV channels to watch, but after spending some time working with the configuration in there I did get the TV to work (it wasn't working when we turned it on). This tiny cabin is located down a very steep hill, so we struggled even to keep cell signal during our stay. I would suggest to the owners, WiFi would be a far greater value to guests than cable/satellite TV. Backwater Jacks posed to be an incredible inconvenience. The cabin is down the road from them but is also on a dead end, so conveniently all of the Ubers and Lyfts dropping people off, use the upper parking spot for this cabin as a turn around spot until 1 or 2 in the morning. (Even if you park your vehicle there)and you get to hear all of the drunk college kids walking to and from their parked cars all night as well. We will visit Osage again as it is a beautiful retreat, however we would not stay at this location again due to the reasons listed above, even at a lower price.

Just okay, wouldnt stay again

My husband and I booked for a quiet getaway for 2. We found this listing and loved that it was on the water and that there was outdoor areas to drink coffee in the morning. He had to work a little so upon arrival, he pulled out his laptop only to discover there was no wifi. I messaged the host who said the listing never said there was WiFi (it doesn't) but this day and age should probably say it DOESN'T have internet and the confirmation email, checkin email AND welcome book inside ALL have wifi login info and password? She also claimed there was cable, there is not and we tried multiple troubleshooting attempts. This is a TINY home. It was cozy and nice for 2 but there is very little privacy. Bathroom window has no covering and faces the street. The tint on the door is not nearly dark enough and you can see directly in and through the shower door. We had to rig up a curtain to shower at night. The style/decor is very trendy and cute but the paint on the exterior is all chipping and there is debris everywhere. The inside seemed very clean, however you are expected to take the garbage with you? We had to travel home with our trash because there was no trash receptacle nearby or designated. Other reviews mention the bed being uncomfortable and they're right. Our backs were killing us. It's a full, which isn't a problem but it's not a solid bedframe so it shifts and squeaks if you move. The other review mentions the fuse box making noise/rattling. Also true, very noisy when the air kicks on but the mini fridge also makes a SUPER loud bang noise periodically and will startle you awake. Things to bring: your own coffee, extra pillows, microwaveable cups (ones provided are not mic safe), fishing pole or lake floats (nothing lake related provided), hotspot. There is Backwater Jack's nearby but it's uphill on a dark windy road, pretty dangerous to walk at night. There is a dock to walk on but it's in rough shape and there are pieces broken off and sticking everywhere. There is a really nice seating area on the concrete and up near the house with many chairs (although guests are not allowed?). Beautiful view, minus the busted dock, and so quiet just after labor day weekend when we stayed. Perfect for early morning sunrise coffee and late night wine on the patio. There are overhead cafe lights but since there are only 2 remotes for 3 strands with only 1 working they all flash differently. Overall, property has great potential but we wouldn't recommend.

Simple space to stay - but not overly comfortable

This cute little space was a nice but lacked standard comforts and supplies that we typically have available at other homes we have rented in the past. The bed is a full size so not a lot of room for my husband and I. The bedding was not comfortable and only 2 pillows were provided. The shower looks really nice but does not properly drain so it turns into a mini-bathtub after using it. The patio area is nice. No coffee was provided. The dock is simply there to look at. It would have been nice to have some amenities available for us to use to swim and float. No beach towels were provided and the home does not have internet. Overall it served it's purpose but it was not anything special.

A few amenities needed

Overall good experience. Few suggestions. Nowhere to hang clothes. Coffee pot but no cups, even paper would do. Written guide on how to turn on AC. Matches to light citronella candles. Tighten electrical box cover. Rattled all night. Great location though and overall was pretty good.
