Take in a gorgeous view of Mutiny Bay, the evergreen shores of Whidbey Island, and the Olympic Peninsula across the water from this stunningly situated home in Freeland.

This property sits on the southwestern side of Whidbey Island, only a few hundred yards from Robinson Beach and about a mile from cafes, restaurants, and local shops in the village of Freeland. You'll be close to the Island Athletic Club (which offers day passes available for purchase), the Holmes Harbor Golf Club, beautiful state parks, the charming town of Langley, and wonderful hiking trails across the island - especially the Bluff Trail at Ebey's Landing.

After a day spent exploring, come home to be greeted by large picture windows framing the panoramic view. Prepare a homemade meal in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, then gather for an after-dinner board game at the dining room table or a movie on the living room's smart TV. Just outside, you'll find a fenced courtyard, a gas grill and a picnic table for summer barbecues, and seats from which to take in the glorious coastal scene.

Two bedrooms, a washer/dryer, and complimentary WiFi are provided as well.

The beach is walkable for active adults who are comfortable with hills (parking is also available at the beach).

Great View!

We stayed here for a week during some home renovations. The view is amazing and we loved watching the ships pass by. The house was clean and updated on the inside with plenty of space. The reason for a 4 star rating is the outside, which definitely needs some TLC and weeding. The covered patio area was unusable due to a birds nest above the table. But, it is Whidbey Island, full of nature!

The property was perfect for our needs, we really enjoyed the space and the view. Two suggestions are to write out the instructions for the heating/cooling remote and change the entertainment option for the main room TV so that appleTV not the only option; we do not subscribe to this so could not use the TV.

Expansive view of the water was great

We received a text in late morning that we could check-in early, which was great; however, it took multiple texts and a few phone calls to get the actual check-in information. We were still able to get into the house a bit early, though, which was great. It took about 6-8 hours to get the house warm using the one wall-mounted heater in the living room (note that in the back bedroom there's only a small portable radiator). The sofa was comfy and the expansive wall of windows looking out over the Sound provided an expansive view. The kitchen is large, but strangely equipped: there were three coffee makers but only one electric tea kettle (that didn't work). There was one said little cookie sheet, no ice cube trays (the water/ice on the fridge door doesn't work), but lots and lots of large salad bowls. We appreciated the little bit of oil, salt, and pepper, that was left for us, and to be fair, the kitchen worked just fine for our needs! The master bathroom had a deep tub, but there wasn't enough hot water to fill it, and we weren't able to turn the heat up -- there was enough hot water to take a shower, though. The heated floors in the bathrooms were a nice touch. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The sofa was comfortable, the view was great, and we were easily able to get to Freeland, Langley, and the ferry. It was a nice little place at a fair price.

Tranquility with amazing views

This beach cottage was so cozy! I was able to walk down to enjoy the beach every day of my stay. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to my questions and needs. The neighborhood is so quiet. I could hear the birds chirps outside during the day. I’m already trying to plan my next trip to visit in the summer!

Great weekend away!

We really enjoyed staying at this house and the view from the house. The house was comfortable, cute, with not a lot of nick nacks which having babies we really appreciate. We had a great weekend and will come back and visit again soon!
