About this property

Welcome to the Blue Pelican lake house! When you just need to escape, this lake front cottage is your happy place. Located on a no wake zone channel on the Chain of Lakes, you can fish (or ice fish) right from the backyard, launch one of our kayaks any time you like, or in the winter, snowmobile right on the lake! Wilmot ski area is only 10 minutes away! Rent a boat from the marina down the road or stay in and watch a movie on the huge TV. You can cook a delicious meal in the stocked kitchen or play board games with the family. Roast s’mores over the fire pit outside or have a foosball tournament night. Bring your Fido friend too! It’s all here!

Beautiful Lake-house Vacation

It was a cute cozy house. Beds were super comfy, the view was beautiful, the neighbors were friendly. It was close enough If you need to make a run to the store you could but far enough away you can disconnect. The house literally had everything you needed, cookware, plates cups coffee machine. Towels. Everything you could think of. The owner was super friendly and very responsive and helpful. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely home!

This was a lovely vacation home! The home is very cozy, with a gorgeous lakefront view. We enjoyed kayaking, playing games, and relaxing on the balcony in this peaceful neighborhood!

We are so excited to have you stay at the Blue Pelican! We are a family of seven with new toddler twins to keep us busy. We live in Colorado, but love to vacation in northern Illinois to play on all the lakes. One of our sons went to the Naval Academy nearby and that is how we discovered the area. We love to boat, fish, kayak, and spend time together as a family as much as we can.

Why they chose this property

The blue pelican lake house is a 1965 charmer with plenty of character that you will fall in love with like we did. The lake view is amazing and the football field sized backyard is unbeatable. It is smack dab in the middle of the chain of lakes which will give you tons of options for all of your water activities. It is close to Chicago, Six Flags great America, and all the cheese in Wisconsin! Plus, there are comfy beds, a full kitchen, and fun games for the family, as well as a huge smart TV. Plus, 2 kayaks to pop on the lake anytime you want!
