Welcome to Carver's Cottage, your home-away-from-home!
Near the shores of beautiful Hawkins Lake, in the heart of Cariboo cottage country, you find this magical Carver's Cottage full of character nestled in the trees.
Lovingly created by an artisan wood carver as his final labor of love, the cottage has recently been refreshed and updated. Many of his carvings remain on the property today. The peaceful and relaxed setting is only enhanced by the little extras - a private porch, a firepit and a screened in gazebo.
Explore three different lakes only minutes away. Lake access for Hawkins Lake is only a stone's throw away. And the public boat launch is available at three driving minutes. Picturesque Ruth Lake offers great paddling and fishing only 10 minutes to the west, while popular Canim Lake Provincial Park with a gorgeous beach is located a mere 9 km to the east.

Carver's Cottage is a unique property. It was build as a final project by an artisan wood carver, and features many carved details and beautifully carved wood art throughout. Surrounded by mature trees, this cottage offers a great little get-away from your busy life.
The cottage has been fully updated and is as comfortable as a little house. The former workshop upstairs has been transformed into a spacious and bright master bedroom.
The location is great. Travel distance from the Lower Mainland is under 6 hours and Calgary is just over 9 hours away. There are many lakes to discover in the Hawkins Lake area and lots of back country to explore.

What makes this property unique
Peace and quiet in a rural setting, but not too remote. Almost all roads to the cottage are actually paved, only the last three kilometres are gravel. Yes, it's a cottage in the woods, away from it all. But you'll find all the comforts from home, including a dishwasher.
