Amazing View but Experience Not Worth It
We took a family trip for my daughter’s birthday and the home was beautiful with amazing views. The first morning waking up in the home, we had to throw away most of our food because there were mice. There were no traps set nor were there any in the house, so after speaking to the owner, we purchased several packs of traps (and left the unopened pack). Later that morning the smoke detector battery was out so it kept going off. After speaking with the owner, we had to bring in an extended ladder and change the batteries.
Within 30 minutes of being on the road after checking out, my young daughter realized she made the mistake and forgot her blanket. I immediately messaged the owner who said he would definitely be going up to the house within 2 weeks and will mail it back. I explained it was a sentimental gift and that I would pay for shipping. After multiple messages to the owner, who had said each time, he would “look into it”, almost 6 months later, he has not been kind enough to mail it back. The things we did have to take care of while on vacation, that we offered to do so he didn’t have to come up himself, I would’ve assumed he could’ve taken a very small amount of time to follow through with what he originally said he would do.
So yes, the place was beautiful but the experience was not.
