History of the lock keeper Hus:
• Tribseer Damm (Tribseer / Tribseer suburb or Tribseer settlement or Old Town / Bastion Belt or Old Town)
The achievement of the city gates of Stralsund was only possible over dams. The Tribseer dam (first mentioned in 1306) was named after the Stralsunder council family of Tribsees. Already around 1270 a Conrad of Tribsees is mentioned in documents. The Tribseer dam was named after this family, which is considered one of the oldest Stralsunder families and several councilors. The family was probably originally from Tribsees.
The dam also served as a dam for the city ponds and as a dam, which was designed to protect the ponds used as a source of drinking water against the floodwaters of the Strelasund. Its present form was created by grinding the fortifications after the end of the fortress of Stralsund .....
