Disappointing and unprofessional

We arrived at this property, settled in, and contacted the host about the schedule for construction going on in other units over the weekend. Shortly, we received a phone call from the property manager (not the host) asking if we would like to move (3 miles away) given that construction would be going on during our whole stay. Having chosen the property for its location (and not having a car), we thanked him and declined the offer. Soon after that, we received a call from the host who was shared that we were going to have to move since the construction would be moving to our unit the next day. We had heard nothing about this in advance, and the host seemed very surprised that we were there. Having no choice, we packed up and moved, and the host was kind enough to provide an Uber ride to the new property. That property was more spacious and nicely appointed, but it meant that we had to spend an extra $75 to get ourselves back and forth from the experiences that we were interested in. The property manager was not willing to cover that extra cost, and did not offer any discount or reimbursement for the inconvenience or the failure to let us know that our original rental was no longer available. The property was marked as unavailable by the end of our stay, but we noticed other reviews that had been added since we made the reservation, and they would have made a difference in our decision. They were certainly on the mark regarding the manager, though the host was helpful.

Small spot, fine area, bad sleeping experience

The 15 min walk to Bourbon street was nice but my group of 4 was pressed for sleeping arrangements when we showed up and the Queen air mattress that was described in the listing deflated every 90 mins throughout the night. The towels all were “clean” but had clear wear and tear. If you are coming here with more than 2 people, make sure to message Alex to bring a new air mattress because the futon is almost unsleepable as well.

Absolutely No Refunds - Renter Beware

Booked property via the app, it did not show that the property was 100% non refundable upon cancellation. Property also REQUIRES you to purchase damage insurance. A work issue came up less than one day after booking so I attempted to communicate with host to ask if we could cancel for a refund. They were extremely rude and stopped responding after my first email. Host will let you cancel but will not refund your money. The situation was sketchy enough that even VRBO decided to refund their fees to us and apologized for the hosts business practices. Since we were not going to get our money back, we decided to just make the trip. Parking on street is hard to come by so if you get a spot, take an Uber for the rest of the trip. Host has bad communication and sent another renter to our door in a mixup of check-in details. Property photographs much better than it looks in person. “Repairs” were just paint over damage and furniture is yard sale trash, literally had old court documents left in coffee table. Towels were old, mismatched, and well worn. Bed is a Full not a Queen as advertised. Hot tub is located in a community area, looks very unsanitary. Other renters were running around naked outside during our stay. Only good thing about this property is that it is close to the French Quarter, but that alone does not justify the cost.

Nothing like they claim.

There was a toilet and debree all by the hot tub that wasnt covered all the way. Wood patches inside the Unit for holes of some sort. Debree all out front. Plus, neighborhood wasnt as they claimed.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay for the weekend. Great location, close to the French quarter. We were able to walk to most of our destinations. Super cute outdoor area to relax.
