The Casco Viejo of Panama is a place of historical charm where its buildings and streets take us back to the city's colonial era. Almost the entire neighborhood was restored in order to recover the historical essence of the city. It has four main squares: the Plaza de la Independencia, the first and only square for several centuries; the Plaza Bolivar and Plaza Herrera, built on vacant land left over from the fires that ravaged the city; and the Plaza de Francia, built-in 1922 to honor the French people, pioneers in the construction of the Panama Canal.
The neighborhood offers endless cultural activities and has the best restaurants and bars in the city—many of the rooftops, from where you can enjoy incredible views of the Bay of Panama.

Unbeatable location to walk to any of the main tourist attractions of Casco Viejo as the Cathedral, Independence Square, or Plaza de Francia.
Two minutes walk from the Cathedral Basilica Santa Maria la Antigua and 4 minutes from the National Theater.

Open, swanky apartment in great location

Simple, open, well-appointed, "cool" apartment. Comfy bed. Took a few minutes to figure out how the stove worked, but once we got it, it worked well. Nifty view over the lower rooftop in front of the apartment. Right in the heart of Casco Viejo. A bit loud at night due to rooftop bars about a block away, but put on your white noise or put in your earplugs and it is fine.

We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was gorgeous! The coffee shops and restaurants lovely. The only downside was our decision to stay on a holiday weekend of independence day.
