About this property

Luxurious dream villa right on the Libyan Sea in southern Crete, a few minutes' walk from the kilometer-long sandy beach and the town of Kalamaki.
The modern, fully air-conditioned villa leaves nothing to be desired. Enjoy the beautiful view over the sea and the village. Relax by the pool (10x5m) surrounded by oleanders, flowers and palm trees or use the outdoor kitchen with grill to relax.
The villa has a living and dining area, equipped with a luxurious kitchen with the latest equipment. The floor-to-ceiling window front with balcony enables a fantastic sea view, which relaxes from sunrise to spectacular sunset and invites you to dream.
The spacious bathroom is equipped with a double sink, walk-in shower, bidet and toilet.
The two bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, television, wardrobe and box-spring bed with a comfortable mattress. One room has a double bed 1.60mx 2.00m the other room with a double bed 1.80mx 2.00m. Through sliding doors you get to the spacious terrace with your own pool, sun loungers and the outdoor kitchen. A flower garden adjoins the terrace.
WiFi and satellite TV are available.
The luxury villa stands on a 1400 square meter plot of land surrounded by a natural stone wall.
Enjoy as a guest the pleasant climate of the Mediterranean island of Crete and try the Cretan delicacies in the numerous taverns and restaurants on the promenade in town.
On the kilometer-long beach you can relax under the Cretan sun. In the evening, the sunsets make you dream.
Despite all the rest, you will never get bored because there are many ways to spend your free time. Hiking, swimming, horseback riding, shopping, excavation and much more is located near the tranquil town of Kalamaki.
In Kalamaki you will find everything in the immediate vicinity to spend a pleasant holiday. From the bakery to a well-stocked supermarket, various restaurants, bars and boutiques, everything is represented in the village. In the neighboring town of Kamilari, the nearby town of Timbaki and Mires (Saturday farmers' market) you will find a variety of shopping opportunities or you can watch the hustle and bustle of the locals in the cafes.
Last but not least, the incredible hospitality of the Cretans ensures their well-being.

Double-Booked Villa: An Unexpected Turn of Events

We booked this villa through Vrbo 5 months in advance. However, just 6 days before our trip to Crete, the owner informed us of a double booking and promised to find an alternative. We reached out to Vrbo for assistance, and they mentioned they had a specialized team for such situations. However, two days went by without any update from Vrbo. Fortunately, the owner offered another quality villa which we accepted since most places were fully booked by then. Although this villa was not beachfront, but rather situated on a hill in a nearby village, it was quite lovely. During our stay, the owner extended an invitation for a complimentary dinner at his brother's restaurant. He apologized for the inconvenience, but it felt somewhat awkward when he started pitching how great the vila was and the idea of us staying at his villa the following year.
