Needs some love

The location is great. Renovated Kitchen was fully stocked with all you need. The house itself is falling apart, duct tape in the corners. The roof leaked in the hall during a big down pour. There wasn’t AC in 2/3 bedrooms. The full-size bed was horrible and I didn’t trust it to hold 2 adults. I hope the owners can give the home a bit of love, add 2 more AC units, and a new mattress for the master.

Lovely beach cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this quaint cottage. It is right across a not-very-busy road from Mayo Beach in Wellfleet. The property is in a very breezy spot, making it not buggy at all when we were encountering mosquitoes and more in the evenings in other areas around the Cape. You can walk from there to restaurants and shops, and go for walks on the beach. The swimming/wading there is fine, as long as it's high tide. The kitchen is large and well-equipped, so we ate at "home" a few times. The cottage has no washer/dryer but it does have a clothesline, which was all we needed. Wifi works. Host was super nice about us traveling with our dog. No dogs are allowed at most Wellfleet beaches, including the one that's right there but you can take dogs to Marconi on the ocean, just a short drive away. We liked the convenience of having an outdoor shower and an indoor shower as well. We feel lucky to have been able to stay there.

Location, location, location

A perfect spot for vacationing at Mayo Beach in a quaint home with all that you need. Updated rear deck with synthetic decking, outdoor shower, ACs throughout (though we didn’t use them), lots of parking and new kitchen make this property a spot to remember.

Perfect Getaway Retreat

The property was exactly as advertised and perfect for our purposes. For a reunion of family members after 18 months of separation, our stay was idyllic. The quintessential cape cottage with water views and, while removed from the center of town, everything is within walking distance - exactly what we wanted. Paul was extremely easy to work with and reach - a wonderful host. Thank you Paul! We had a superb time!
