RENTER BEWARE
This home is in a great location if you are interested in exploring the Superstition Mountain area like we were. The house was well stocked with all of the standard necessities and both beds were very comfortable. However, you are always at risk when something goes terribly wrong at a VRBO rental and the owner does not have a repair person to fix the problem. The inability of the owner to resolve an ongoing problem with the services at the house caused us to leave after 2 nights. Our stay was during March Madness week. The owners add on VRBO shows TV service listed as one of the amenities and this was a critical issue for us when we made the reservation thinking we would be able to watch all of the games at the house. However, on our first morning the TV service malfunctioned. I immediately called Denice who is the owners representative in the area to tell her about the lack of TV service. She stated she wasn't familiar with the Dish Network system and I should contact the owner who's name and phone number are on the refrigerator. We decided to go out for our days hike and hoped TV service would be working when we returned. Unfortunately that was not the case. Several attempts at contacting the owner were unsuccessful so I left a voicemail. Out of desperation I contacted Denice again and told her there was still a problem with the TV service. She said she had someone in the area who could stop by and attempt to fix it. A short time later the 2 men she sent showed up at the front door. From the appearance of the material in their P/u and the clothes they were wearing they were a landscape crew. The son manipulated the cables on the back of the receiver box and was able to get the TV service working again for the remainder of the evening. The following morning the TV service failed shortly after turning it on. I contacted the owner this time and he said when this happens it often times will be working later in the day so we went out for another hike. NO TV service when we returned later that day from our hike. Called the owner and he asked ME to call Dish Network to help resolve the problem. After telling him I wasn't willing to do that while I'm on vacation he said he would see what he could do and get back to me. He called back a little later after doing some online research and asked me to try a variety of things with the settings on the remote receiver box which I did. Nothing worked to restore the TV signal so I notified
