About Duane or Pat Bieber
Duane & Pat Bieber are natives of southern Minnesota and have vacationed in the Ely area since 1996. They were able to purchase this beautiful cabin a few years ago. They now have retired and reside on another lake within the city of Ely. The Bieber's enjoy providing a peaceful, comfortable setting for others to experience & enjoy the northwoods.
Duane or Pat Bieber purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Duane or Pat Bieber chose Ely
We love Ely. It is a beautiful place. The people are warm and friendly. The pace is slower and reminds us of the small towns we grew up in.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love being at the cabin. It is relaxing to get away from it all but close enough to Ely or Tower when we want to eat out, go shopping or visit other local attractions. It is a perfect couples retreat.

Beautiful cabin with lots of love put into decorating it
The property was very clean, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and really everything we needed was there. Pat and Duane were very accessible if we had any questions. It was very dog friendly and the owners made us feel like our pet was as important as the humans that were staying. We loved having a washer and dryer there. It was close enough to Ely that we didn't spend a lot of time on the road, yet felt we were in a rural setting. The cabin didn't have direct lake access which was a surprise to us but didn't affect our stay at all. We would recommend this place to others if interested. It would not be a good place for a handicap person who has limitations with stairs as sleeping areas are on the upper and lower floors. For us that was not a problem. The reading and video libraries were extremely well stocked.
Beautiful, cozy, cabin located close to Ely. Perfect for the BWCA adventure.
We had an amazing christmas vacation. Duane and Pat are great renters. The respond quickly to emails and calls with any questions you may have about their property. We stayed over christmas and they even decorated and provided us with a christmas tree. Great views from the cabin of Wolf lake and plenty of wildlife to gaze at while enjoying the cabin life. Would highly recommend this cabin if your looking for comforts of home with modern amenities but still want that cabin, rustic feel.
Log home in the woods
My sister and I had a wonderful time. The home was very comfortable and inviting. Beautiful scenery. We enjoyed bonfires, smores, playing card games, drinking wine and just relaxing surrounded by the forest. The wooden (log) home was exceptionally clean. I would recommend this home to my family and friends!
Beautiful serene cabin in a great location close to Ely. Furnishings were perfect!
Beautiful home. Beautiful place!
We just spent our Thanksgiving holiday at Duane and Pat's lovely cabin and were sad to leave. The cabin and it's surroundings were everything we had hoped for. It is right off the highway, yet totally secluded and a short drive to the town of Ely, MN. Thanksgiving night in Ely was fun, as the shops open from 6-9pm for those who like to start their Christmas shopping early. Great shops and great restaurants for such a small town. We loved the huge selection of books, games and movies that were in the cabin. The kitchen is very functional and so pretty. They have done a wonderful job decorating and making their guests feel like they are truly part of the North woods experience!
The home is a sweet, comfortable sanctuary were we everything we needed.
We love visiting Ely and this is a perfect way for us to enjoy the woods, have easy access to the town and experience the cozy feeling of a well loved and well furnished home with a woodsie feel. The craftsmanship of the home was beautiful. We loved the outdoorsy theme.
Dee Oliver & family were excellent lodgers. They treated our cabin with care & left it in good condition.
Snowshoeing, Large beaver dam on property, wildlife viewing from deck (birds, rabbits, coyotes, deer, occasional wolf sighting)
