About this property

Izzy's Apartment + One Bed + Fast WiFi

This conveniently located, spacious, bright and breezy apartment is equipped with everything you need to enjoy the beautiful island of Grenada. With views over Calivigny Island It is only a 5 minute drive from the world famous Grand Anse beach, and a 15 minute walk from Clark’s Court Bay Marina.
The space:
The apartment consists of a living area, fitted kitchen, shower room, WC and one double bedroom with built in wardrobe storage and a study desk area with an ergonomic desk chair.
Guest access:
The apartment is a 15 minute walk from Clarks Court Bay Marina in one direction and about the same in the other direction to the beautiful Grand Anse and major bus routes connecting you to the whole Island. For those not wanting to walk taxi's are easily available. Just up the road you have Iguana's sports bar and Andy's Soup Bowl where you will find great food, either to eat in or take away. There is also a small village shop a short walk from the apartment. If you are thinking of renting a car do message me as I can provide the details of some reliable car rental companies. On road parking is available.
Other things to note:
I am British-Grenadian who has lived in Grenada for over 10 years. I love this Island and enjoy nothing more that sharing all my favourite places, and my local knowledge with my guests. If you have any questions, either before you arrive, or while you are here you can contact me at any time and I will do my best to help.

Please note, there is a short but steep hill to the apartment inclusive of steps which is not suitable for those with poor mobility, and the gym upstairs is known to play music which can be heard from the unit during it's busy times.

Whilst it cannot be guaranteed on every booking, I do offer early check-ins and check-outs upon request as I appreciate some of my guests have had long journeys so don't hesitate to ask!

Located on a very steep hill with many steps. Very responsive 5 star rating for the host, that tried their best to redeem the shortcomings of the space. However if I am to review my experience of the space for my stay, it will get a 3. When you book any apartment style accommodations your hope is for it to be a home away from home, pleasant seamless experience without having to be in constant contact with a host as that will affect the overall vacation experience. Broken desk, that was replaced but not the broken desk chair, broken shower that hopefully will be resolved for the next guest, no full length mirror, nor blender, but they were very gracious to loan both.

Bright, cool and breezy
Clean and bright with a cool breeze through the dual aspect windows. Window mesh ensures no insects get in. A well equipped and comfortable apartment with good wifi and desk for remote working and a Smart TV with streaming channels. Izzy is a friendly and responsive host who lives locally and knows the island well. Lovely view over the bay to Calivigny Island. Well stocked mini mart within easy walking distance. Parking on the roadside verge was never a problem.

Convenient little apartment
Very affordable for a not to short stay, few things needed attention, bathroom light stopped working the night we arrived, floors could have been cleaner. But host was gracious enough letting me stay an extra night when I missed my check out. Her price for that one night was steep so don't miss your checkout date.

The accommodation is in a local area , so you fee like a local. It is therefore local vibes, accommodation is local. Izzy provides all you nèed in the accommodation ot was a real treat.

Lovely and affordable
We really enjoyed our brief 4 day stay at Izzy's apartment. It was nice being a bit out of town to avoid the hustle and bustle and traffic, while only taking a very short drive to get in to Grand Anse or St. George. We also really liked being so close to Mount Hartman to hike (and look for Grenada Dove's), as well as nearby Woburn for birdwatching amongst the mangroves. The kitchen was well stocked with stainless steel pots and pans, and there was ample cupboard and fridge space for storing food. A couple of beers in the fridge also helped restore us from the long day traveling. The loudness of the gym music took us a bit by surprise, but in reality, the first night we were there was the worst and it was generally pretty quiet thereafter. Izzy was also very prompt answering our questions, and we definitely felt well looked after. Thanks!!!

I am British-Grenadian who has lived in Grenada for over 10 years. I love this Island and enjoy nothing more that sharing all my favourite places, and my local knowledge with my guests. My husband is Grenadian and we have two young children together. Originally I found Grenada through the boating and marine industry, and since I have more onto to land to pursue a more office based job.

Why they chose this property

I actually used to live in this apartment when I first moved to Grenada, it was so hard to let go of, after befriending the owner we agreed I could sublet it as an Airbnb/VRBO unit, in the goal to offer affordable and comfortable accommodation in the Caribbean. It's all about 5* hotels and large expenses to experience such wonderful places.

What makes this property unique

Staying in my unit will offer you a secure, safe, very local experience. You honestly could leave for the day to go explore with the door wide open and meet it back how you left it. The unit has purposely been kept affordable so we can continue to offer stays for everyone.
