Adventure of a lifetime
Blended family of 6 with kids aging 9-12. This island retreat was the perfect adventure. The pontoon boat was essential and gave the opportunity to explore all over the lagoon. We saw over 100 dolphins, several manatees, sea turtles, and many different sea birds in our outings. We caught dinner from the dock and enjoyed lounging in the hammock and hanging swings. Beautiful view of the lagoon from the front deck. Comfortable beds and functional kitchen. The owner and management team were very helpful and responsive before, during and after our stay. This was the best overall experience I've had with vacation property rental. I highly recommend for families looking to make their own adventures. No canned experiences here but well worth the effort if you like making your own way through the outdoors.

What makes this property unique

From June to October, the waters of the Banana River, and Indian River Lagoon come alive with bioluminescence. Glittering dinoflagellates and pulsing Comb Jellies, create mystical light shows that you can see for yourself. This natural phenomenon is an inexplicable experience that you’ll have to see to believe. If you’ve never witnessed water shining like the stars in the night sky, book a summer trip to the Space Coast now and cross one more thing off your bucket list.

*WHAT IS BIOLUMINESCENCE PLANKTON?*

Anything and everything that comes in contact with the bioluminescent dinoflagellates in the Lagoon emits a green-blue glow you’ll never forget. Every stroke of the paddle, every move made by the mullet, manatees, and dolphins below the surface becomes a mesmerizing spectacle that you can only experience a few places in the world.

Bioluminescence season can begin as early as late May or June, but the peak of the bioluminescence season is between July and September. Booking your trip during a new moon will amplify the glittering water and shimmering stars.
