Worth another trip
The property was very homey and comfortable. Andrea was super helpful with all accomedations. The tent/camping area was perfect for our needs and the barn/kitchen was so nice to have available when it rained. I would recommend this property & will be coming back for another visit.

Perfect unplugged weekend getaway
We (my husband, three kids (13,9,7), and I) wanted a quick and affordable weekend getaway. We have never taken our kids camping and it was a great first time experience for them. Andrea was a fantastic host. She's thought of lots of little details to make it fun and inviting for both adults and kids. Great for beginners or experienced campers. Our tent had a platform bed, fold out futon and we borrow an extra cot. We stayed when the weather started getting colder at night so we brought sleeping bags and a few extra blankets but beds were made with her sheets and comforters. Each tent has an outhouse on sight that is clean and well maintained with a footpump sink for hand washing. There is also a "bathhouse" with towels and wash cloths near the barn for a full wash up when needed. Really pretty, clean and well maintained. The barn contains a kitchen so you can choose to use the oven/stove for cooking, the firepit on campsite (if you bring your own supplies), or a small grill if requested. You'll find dishes, pots/pans and brewed coffee in the barn. Inside the tent you'll find a lanterns, batter charger for electronics if needed, hand sanitizer, ear plugs, heater if needed. Overall, we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the farm animals, took a day hike to Mize Mills at Bank Head National Forrest, hung out at the firepit and played card games in the tent. Perfect way to unplug from everything and enjoy the outdoors. We can't wait to go back!

Jewell Ridge is named after my grandmother, Jewell Hadder. She and James were the landowners here from the early 60’s until 2010. Mr. Hadder used the pasture areas to grow food for many who lived in the community. He was often known as the “pea man” for the pink eye peas he would produce. When I purchased this land from my family in 2013, I knew how special it was, and started shaping it into what it is today.
