The Property needs to be Updated!
My Experience wasn’t Good at All, The Towels were very Old. The bedding was really dingy and the beds were Uncomfortable! The house smelled like Mold, The water was hard coming out of the shower head and there were bugs! I’m very disappointed!
Love our stay very comfortable just like home
One click away no hassle very easy booking
Roaches
This house has roaches, a mildew smell covered by air freshner, all the towels smelled of mildew, limited toilet paper, limited paper towels and only 1 baking dish. The kitchen supplies were very basic so we had to improvise. The furniture is old cheap and outdated.
Paradise
Being from WI. leaving the cold behind & enjoying the beautiful weather was invigorating. Pool was also very nice. I'm sure we will be back.
The people at Vacation Rentals were helpful in many ways.
We thank you all.
Clean, but.... Meh.
We planned a last minute trip to Orlando. We had a conference at DW, and wanted to extend our trip. We found this three bedroom, two bath home, with a pool, for such a low nightly rate. The pictures looked awesome. I assumed it was because the oversaturation rental market in Kissimmee and Orlando. Well, you get what you pay for. Overall the house was clean. It had that institution cleanser kind of smell. There were towels for six, and clean sheets on the beds. The pools was sparkling clean as well. It was a little too cold to swim, but we we're at the Mouse House, and really didn't need to swim.
Now for the other concerns. There was some sort of spill or leak in the garage before we got there. There were three very saturated rugs in the garage. Nothing leaked while we were there, but other than dragging these wet rugs through the house, we couldn't open the garage door and remove them, which left a very muggy smell and feeling in the garage. Which is where the laundry is located. The towels and bed linens were provided, but they we're pretty poor quality, and we weren't expecting Egyptian cotton or anything luxurious. The bathroom curtain in the guest bath was held up by a screw and an aluminum rod. The furniture was old and pretty beat up. The only mattresses in the house which were even remotely comfortable we're the twin mattresses in the back, left bedroom. The other twin mattresses were so old, we put our younger children on them, as they don't weigh as much, so they wouldn't feel the springs which were poking up into the top of the mattresses. The master was so sunken-in in the middle my husband and I could not sleep together, as we continually rolled into one another. The decor/furniture struck us as very "garage sale" quality. Kind of cheap and grubby/worn looking.
I rarely ever leave poor reviews. My family uses VRBO often and we will again in the future. There was only one other review about the pool and refrigerator, which the property management company addressed. I thought we could five it a try. My mistake. I should have thought more about the whole, "You get what you pay for" adage. Sometimes a deal is just to good to be true.
That being said, if you are looking for a cheaper place to just sleep because you are not planning on hanging out and relaxing in the Orlando/Kissimmee area, then this might fit your needs. You'll probably want to sleep in the bedroom on the left. That's where I ended up for the entire stay.
Decent home, terrible management
The home itself was nice. Good location, clean, decent furniture, ample bedding and linens, adequate dishes (could use a few baking sheets and a slow cooker). I overlooked a broken pool pump and loss of the pool's use due to algae accumulation (I will credit that the pump was replaced in 3 days, I figure that to be reasonable) as these things do happen. My primary complaint is that management was unreachable for two solid weeks, then refused to compromise reimbursement for a loss of over $200 in groceries. My family ( myself, spouse and four younger children) stocked our refrigerator with a week's worth of food for our stay. The next evening, upon return from a day at the parks, we found our fridge door open and the food inside warm. We wedged the door shut that night until maintenance arrived the following morning. During his inspection, it was discovered that a shelf of deeper dimensions had been switched with another shelf causing the door to pop open from contact with the crisper drawers. When management finally did respond, they claimed that it was our food placed in the door shelves that caused the problem, with no reference to the misplacement of said shelf. As of my rebuttal five days ago, I have again been unable to reach anyone. It was a silly problem that probably occurred during housekeeping, however we had no reason to look at the shelves as the cause of the problem. Overall, I have to advise against staying here. Which is a shame for the home owners as the place is definitely worthy of renting again. However not at the cost of dealing with such uncaring management. When a guest overlooks the loss of one of the property's main attractions, yet gets stuck without any compensation for groceries lost at no fault of their own, something is wrong.
I would first like to thank you for choosing Advantage Vacation Homes for your home away from home destination. I would also like to apologize for the delay and any discomfort you experienced during your stay.
I was reviewing the notes on your stay and your request for compensation. I was trying to get a full understanding of what you are requesting for compensation. We reviewed the on call emergency service report and it stated that you called and told them that came back from being out and found the fridge door was open. You also stated that you needed to put a chair on the door in order to keep it closed. A report was made and a work order was generated. The next morning you called the office and a maintenance man was sent to the house to check the issue.
Upon reviewing the report from the maintenance man; it states that he was shown the fridge door and it was closed with no chair. He then was shown that if the freezer door is slammed shut it opens the fridge door. He found that the fridge door had items on it that were too heavy for the door to remain closed properly. He removed the items from the door and it closed with out any issue. He tested the fridge and it was cooling properly, he also slammed the freezer door to see if this would again open the fridge door and it did not. In the report he states that when he showed you the items that you admitted to putting them on the door. Enclosed are pictures of the fridge and the food inside. As for the pool, it was crystal clear when the maintenance man went to go look at it. The pool pump did not turn on and was replaced with in hours. Enclosed are pictures of the fridge and the food inside as well as a video of the pool working. Thank you for taking time to communicate to us why our product/services did not meet your expectations. We have always strived to address and resolve the need of the customer and provide the best solution possible.
