Dog Friendly, Luxurious Lake Home with Private Boat Slip on the public (cold) side of Lake Anna

Located in a gated, waterfront community, this secluded home is only a quarter mile walk to the lake where you can explore all the amenities of Lake Anna such as a common area with your own boat slip, a sandy beach, gathering/picnic pavilion, and tennis court. This is in addition to the many hiking trails Lake Anna has to offer, Lake Anna State Park, lake-front restaurants, and so much more!

It has three bedrooms, three full baths, a walkout lower-level game room with 75” TV and pool table, two beautiful fireplaces, a beautiful great room with a floor-to-ceiling, stone fireplace, 55” TV, and spacious eat-in kitchen with all the amenities you need to make your vacation comfortable and relaxing.

The outside features a large deck with sliders from the master bedroom and kitchen, a grill, dining table, lounge chairs, and a bistro table for coffee or evening cocktails. Down in the yard you’ll find Adirondack chairs with a fire pit for cooler mornings and evenings. The back yard is also fenced in for younger children and/or pets.

Pretty and convenient
The house was so beautifully decorated!! The basement was perfect for watching football and a game of pool. There were so many spaces for my family to use. We will definitely look to stay here again- the only down side is that it is not directly on the lake. Great place!!!

Great location, great house!
We had a lovely stay at this property! Communication with the property manager was excellent. Our passes were ready for us when we got to the gate entrance and there was a key card waiting for us on the kitchen table. The renovations in this house are very tasteful and the fenced in back yard was great for our dog. Short walk/drive down to the boat slip and clear directions on exactly where it was located. House had everything we needed and we will definitely rent here again! One suggestion would be to jot down the wifi password before getting down there as the cell service is not great on most parts of the lake.

Lovely home, poor customer service
We loved the house and would have rented it again had it not been for the lack of customer service. I will say that the VRBO site was having issues and not sending out automated messages at the beginning of our stay. However this was brought to the host’s attention the day prior to our stay. Before arrival I asked about entrance to the property because it was gated. I was advised that all that was needed was to give the house address to the front gate staff. Once in the house we searched for the information binder that is normally in a rental property. There was no binder and we were told that it was taken out of the home “because it needed to be updated”. The next day we went out to dinner and upon attempting to return, we were unable to get in because there was no attendant at the gate. Since we never received an access code or a card key, I called the host multiple times for how to access the community. They responded by text have I left a voicemail. We had to wait cars to leave or come in to get through the gate. Advised I had spoke to the HOA president of the community who was helpful and made sure we had access. At bear minimum had hoped for some ownership the issues we experienced. They stated the owners tried to call numerous times. There were no missed calls, I guess no one thought to leave message? If you are ok with not being able to access the property and being gaslighted then this is the rental for you, if not rent another place then this one.
