Very dirty, NOT on lake!
The description “lake oasis” makes it sound like the home is on the lake. It is NOT on the lake! The pictured views are from the road, not the backyard. The location, near Cabana Blue was very nice. The kitchen, living room and laundry areas were filthy. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, so we decided to stay. We did not bother contacting the owner about the dirty areas, we came to relax not complain about the dirty areas. Plus the owner should ensure cleanliness before the keys are handed over. We went out and purchased all paper products because we didn’t even want to eat on anything from the kitchen. There were onion peels in the filthy kitchen corners left over from previous renters. Every corner had dust, cobwebs and debris, and hadn’t been cleaned. The food cabinets were littered with crumbs and dust. The laundry room was also filthy, dust, lint and old soap was caked on both the washer and the dryer. The canal is very very narrow. Our small open bow was just about the biggest that would fit in the space. The sunset views from the road were unmatched, and like previously stated the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean if you don’t mind leftover soap left in each shower (we honestly did not mind this, but I would say most would not like this). The house was big, and is perfect for a bachelor party, or frat party, but for a family, toddlers, or someone particular about cleanliness, not for you.
