Fallen Leaf Lake Front Family Retreat

When you arrive at this beautiful and gracious multi leveled house nestled in the woods on the shores of private Fallen leaf lake, you will know there are memories to be had for generations to come. There is a private dock across the street from the house perfect for kayaks, paddle boarding, fishing, canoeing etc. The house is located on the upslope and there are several levels of stairs which are needed to give the house spectacular views of the lake and should be noted.

At the top of the stairs is the main entrance off of a large exterior deck with adirondack chairs perfect for lounging or entertaining. Also located on this front deck are one of the three dining tables. Imagine sitting there after dinner under the stars playing cards or games with your family or friends or lounging an after a day on the lake or relaxing after a long hike

When one enters the house, one immediately notices the exceptional craftsmanship of this magnificent home, from wood beams, rock fireplace, to the decorations and comfortable furniture complete with upright piano all make this a home to remember and love. The Living Room has two large couches, chairs and reading nooks. There is a stereo and speakers which you can connect to with your i-phone. The gourmet kitchen is complete with two ovens, separate gas cooktop, microwave etc. and is stocked with plates, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans - all to provide ease of entertaining and creation of large family meals. The kitchen is open to the dining room and offers stunning views of the lake. It comfortably seats 8- but there are enough chairs for 10-12. There is also a large deck off the Dining room and kitchen. This deck has a gas grill as well as a large teak table that comfortably seats 10. But there are chairs for 12. Imagine sitting out here with your family around you, sharing a home cooked meal and talking about the adventures of the day and the plans for the next.

Also on this level is a bedroom with king bed, connecting full bath and offers stunning views of the lake.

Upstairs are three additional bedrooms. The beautiful master bedroom has a king bed plus a sitting area with couch, chairs, tv and dvd player. It has an full bath plus a generous walk in closet. Down the hall, there is another bedroom with a king bed and views to the forest. It shares a connecting full bathroom. The third bedroom on this level has two twin beds and shares a full bath. This bedroom has beautiful views of the lake and mountains beyond.

Downstairs from the Main level is the great bunkroom with 2 sets of bunk beds plus a seating area with pull out sleeper couch and reclining chairs. There are also individual reading lights for nighttime reading plus a tv and dvd player, great for children to have their own entertainment. There also is a new full bath for the bunk room!

It should be noted that a wifi is accessible from the property but as the house is in a fairly remote area, wifi is not as consistent as urban or suburban areas. However, it is appropriate for checking e-mail or internet but not for streaming videos.
