About this property

This is a lovely, mid-century home on a large lot with ample yard space and privacy. A large circular driveway provides convenient off-street parking and leads guests to an enclosed front courtyard before entering the house. Past the courtyard and through the front door, guests step into an open, inviting living/dining area. There are two cozy bedrooms with new mattresses and lots of natural light. The house has a large kitchen space with a breakfast nook where you'll find a mini-coffee and tea bar. There's also a large multi-purpose room with workstation space, large capacity laundry, pool table (or ping-pong), Pac-man game and fold-down (Murphy style) platform bed also queen size. The back yard has a covered gazebo with fire-pit and nearby BBQ.

Worth the trip

The house was pleasantly just like the pictures. Furniture and beds were very comfortable and loved the eclectic decor. Due to the cool nights we did not have a chance to use the outdoor fire pit. Our hosts were extremely quick to answer any questions we had and even suggested a few great locations to check out and was not disappointed. The murphy bed was a great addition when the family arrived for a few days. Loved the area over all.

Your hosts are Andy and Thuy. We love California's deserts. This property is located where the Mojave (high) and Sonoran (low) deserts meet, so it has been perfect for us.

This 3/4 acre property was developed before Yucca Valley became a city and there were two houses built upon it. This circumstance allows us to enjoy one house (rear cottage) while offering the main ranch-house to our guests. The main house has an extra-large, double-wide front yard and suburban sized, enclosed backyard. The two houses are separated by a 6' fence that ensures guest privacy.

We do have video cameras on site that are directed toward the street and (partial) driveway in front of the main house and also non-guest spaces at the side and rear of the property.

We are available to answer questions or provide assistance if needed. Otherwise, guest privacy is respected.

What makes this property unique

The multi-purpose room is versatile. There is comfortable group seating, a Hathaway pool/ping-pong table, indoor laundry and fold-down platform bed. When the bed is upright, there is a desk-height shelf for use. This shelf accommodates two workstations. When the bed is lowered, the shelf folds underneath and out of the way. Items on the shelf can be left there overnight. In the morning, when the bed is raised back up, the shelf will rise back into place.

The fold-away platform bed is built-in. Pistons assist raising and lowering the bed so that it can be done by one person with ease.
