This 1900’s farmhouse was one of the original Sears and Roebuck kit houses, and as such is a fascinating piece of American history in its own right. Furnished with a variety of antiques, it retains that old American charm in a beautiful country setting. Looking out the window of any of the bedrooms, you’ll see horse fields and tractor barns, which makes it hard to believe you are just 20 minutes away from Richmond City. A short stroll down a dirt road will bring you to Historic Tuckahoe, the childhood home of Thomas Jefferson, with its beautiful gardens and rich history.
With 3 bedrooms, the Farmhouse sleeps 7, but with cots/air mattresses you are welcome to have up to 10 people stay. It has 2 full bathrooms, laundry room, and a complete kitchen stocked with standard kitchen appliances (cook stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer) and cooking utensils (pots, pans, dishes etc.). In addition to bedrooms, there is a spacious living room and dining room. Wifi and cable TV have recently been added. Well behaved pets are welcome in lower floor of the house, but not in the upstairs bedrooms.
