Why they chose this property

Summer 2021, having endured two years of the public health crisis with no travel or vacation, we longed to be near a large body of water within a couple hours drive. Lake Erie it was and Geneva-on-the-Lake was delightfully discovered. That first trip, we took photos on the strip, had lunch overlooking the lake, laid on warm pebbles at Breakwater Beach, bought memorabilia at Shem’s Collectables (a mini cardboard Luke Skywalker and Strawberry Shortcake doll from the ‘70s), and took a 45-minute scenic drive along the lake's coastline. The magic set in as we pondered what it would be like to have/rent a cottage in the area. One trip led to the next with many hours searching for the perfect property, finally finding Woodside Cottage...or it finding us!

We could feel the history of so many families before us in this historic resort town that also happens to be in the heart of Ohio wine country!
