El apartamento estaba sucio cuando llegamos; infestado de hormigas, lavatorios y ducha sucios. No habia WiFi y fue imposible comunicarse con alguien que nos solucionara. El A/C no enfriaba y hacia mucho ruido. La TV no funcionó. Una mañana no habia agua caliente para bañarse. El personal de limpieza abría la puerta si tocar. En la terraza hay una lavadora, una secadora y un refrigeradora que no sirve y deja poco espacio para aprovechar la terraza; ademas el personal de limpieza usa la lavadora y secadora sin consultar y no hay privacidad. El condominio es muy viejo y deteriorado y tiene pocos espacios de parqueo. No hay espacio asegurado para estacionar y si esta lleno, hay que parquear afuera o en otra propiedad. Una mañana, el personal de seguridad nos despertó golpeando la ventana para que movieramos nuestro vehiculo porque a un vecino le estorbaba, cuando fue el guarda nocturno quien nos dijo que estacionaramos ahi. No recomiendo este alojamiento.

Great spot!

Very nice little place to stay close to the beach and great restaurants. Super quiet and peaceful. Would definitely come back! Thanks for a great stay.

The guy that owns this property didn’t give us anymore information so we had no idea which unit it was and he didn’t let the guard know so he couldn’t tell us. I eventually found it by looking at the first front door pictures and finding the orange building with a blue door. Then when we got in there’s no wifi. Wifi is a necessity for travellers just so the owner knows.

I'm a gringa and my husband is "tico" aka a Costa Rican. We met in 2017 when he was the tour guide to our trip. I returned to Costa Rica in 2019 and he was once again our tour guide. This time, we fell in love. After getting stuck with me in Arkansas in 2020 during Covid, he managed to lose his travel visa. This was devastating, but it lead me to move to Costa Rica and for us to get married.

Why they chose this property

My husband is a talented real estate photographer and handyman. I manage a marketing agency. We decided to buy this condo in our favorite beach town in Guanacaste so that he could have somewhere to stay when he works in the area. (We live a couple hours South of Guanacaste.)

We fell in love with this community. The Villaggios were built and are still mostly inhabited by Italian expats. Rey loves to practice his Italian and I love to eat Italian food in the Central Square located steps from the condo.

Rey decided to renovate the condo and surprise me with it. He built the bed, vanity, couch, coffee table, dining table, and stair steps from scratch! I was blown away! It's too beautiful not to share so we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We take so much pride in hosting and look forward to hosting you!

What makes this property unique

Rey is a certified tour guide and is an excellent resource for things to do in the area. He knows most of the tour companies personally and can hook you up!
