Nice hotel but unfortunate circumstances

This hotel was nice and the communication with the VRBO host beforehand was very nice but unfortunately we did not have hot water or heat during our stay, there was snow and the power was out for a few hours. Power returned without heat or hot water. Although the hotel was nice I am disappointed we were not issued at least a small refund or another solution for not receiving these amenities. The front desk staff were not very helpful either unfortunately. It was very uncomfortable staying here without hot water or heat!
