Peaceful Getaway

I was pleased overall with my stay at this house. It was just what I was looking for, a quiet, private spot that allowed my dogs to run around. Yvette, the property manager was super responsive of any issues or questions I had, and even called me the day before I checked in to confirm my stay. I have a few suggestions that I think guests would appreciate, but are fairly minor. 1. The kitchen could be updated/better decorated to make it feel cozier. I found that I didn't link being in the kitchen as much because it just wasn't overly appealing/cozy. 2. Add some form of storage in the bathroom under the towel rack. There isn't much room on the sink counter to place more than a few items. 3. Definitely get the sulfur smell fixed with the well water. I didn't want to wash my hair in it, or allow my dogs to drink it. I ended up buying bottled water for them to drink. 4. The living room couches could be upgraded to have a more inviting and cozier feel. They aren't the worst, but they're pretty low quality. 5. The photos of the house make it feel bright and airy, however it was never that bright in there. Not entirely sure how to fix this, but it's important people don't expect bright / airy / welcoming and get the opposite. Suggestions for future guests: 1. Bring bottled water. 2. If you have dogs, make sure you bring a flashlight if you usually need to do a potty break at night. The lights on the porch are sensored. 3. If you're a neat freak, bring a pair of house slippers or indoor shoes. I ended up sweeping a few times during my stay from myself and my dogs tracking grass into the house. 4. Enjoy the peace and quiet! :)

Overall impression was good. Suggestions- add a toaster, exterminate…lots of spiders and other bugs in house. Written directions on how to use/ turn on TV would be helpful, sign going up stairs to be careful of low ceiling, clean or paint rockers on front porch.. Add a guest book. Thanks for our stay!

Privacy!

Privacy, location to all outdoor activities fishing, hiking, hunting, canoe, etc... Delaware Water Gap... fresh air! Propert in Narrowsburg has three beds in two bedrooms. 2 twin in one and one king in the other. Smart thermostat and clean. No bathroom up stairs and make sure you are barefoot or wear socks with grippers on them because stairs are slippery and gorgeous 😉. I hate carpet. Laundry and full bath on main floor with eat in kitchen, all three major appliances, stove, fridge and dishwasher. Cute little microwave for heating up something, no toaster we used the oven. Electric water kettle I used 3 times a day. I boil all water and let cool before giving to my dog. Keurig was efficient and they had a nice assortment of coffee. Lacking was big bowls and a strainer. Silverware and pots were good enough for us to use. Grill was clean and tanks full. We used it for grilled chicken we marinated for 24 hrs. Delicious! Apple/Sonos equipped, Firestick/Amazon great! Air cleaner/ionizer great too. Field on side of house great to play catch with dog. Deer and squirrels all around you. Birds and Black Crows too, just thankful no Bear sightings. Many trees around and it rained for 3 days of our 5 day stay so bring board games or cards. I did read a bit. Water has a sulfur smell which is fine too. Deck in back off kitchen is nice and table seats 6. Steps down to side yard a bit slippery due to wet weather when we stayed. If you love the great outdoors, you'll fall in love with this place.
