Great until the cockroaches
We stayed 3 nights. Pros are proximity to food and Beavers Bend State Park, owners own the entire lot and have multiple RVs they rent which felt more safe and secure, place is as described with accurate photos. Cons are cockroaches but the owner will insist they are bugs or beetles. Unfortunately on night 2, I saw a cockroach scurry from behind the trash can in the bathroom and escape behind the grate on the bathtub. I let that sighting go. Then 15 minutes later, the same or a different roach walked out of the bathroom. I immobilized it in dish soap to scan and take photos. My nature app said household cockroach (I’ve been scanning insects for years and my immediate guess was cockroach even before I scanned it). Owner went on vacation and wasn’t very responsive. Over 24 hours later, the maintenance guy came to remove it but that was after I contacted VRBO waiting for owner to respond. I only stayed in the camper another night because we spent all day outdoors and only came back to sleep, and with one night left, we didn’t have many options. I’m disappointed in how the owner handled this situation and I requested a refund for one night which she declined, since bugs are expected in the forest. I’m good with bugs of all kinds or I wouldn’t have stayed in the forest but roaches are non-negotiable. So stay at your own risk with cockroaches or bugs that have long antenna like roaches since you will be denied that it’s a roach - too bad I can’t post pics you can judge for yourself
