Great Stay
We stayed for two night to view the total solar eclipse. The set up is a little different than other rentals, but the description is very accurate. Also the owner communicated with us on what to expect and what to bring. We were prepared and had a great time. We loved walking on the property, around the lake and up to the bridge. The owner was wonderful, helpful and friendly. We watched the solar eclipse from the patio and it was awesome.

Unique property
Maggie was a wonderful host. If you see the photos, you may realize that this is part of a barn that is not well insulated. We did not see that when we booked the property in February when it got into the teens at night. Maggie supplied plenty of electric heaters but the main living area never got above 60°. The hot tub was fantastic! The bedroom was toasty warm as long as we kept the door closed. The refrigerator, dart board and ping pong table are in the garage. It was too cold to enjoy. The only thing I found missing was dishcloths and sponges to wash the dishes. We managed to get by using paper towels. Although I would not want to cook a dinner there, there was a toaster oven and griddle along with a microwave and small coffee pot. A couch would have been a nice touch to be able to relax. The living room furniture is more outdoor furniture. The love seat swing was nice but you couldn't see the TV well from there. The living space is very large. It may be extremely hot in July as there are no ceiling fans. If updates we're made, this would make the property worth a lot more for the stay. If you're looking to spend an evening and a hot tub, it's very well worth the price. Some of the listings were not correct. There is no fireplace. Maggie the host explained that there were more places to rent on her property and that VRBO may have confused some. She communicates very well. If you have questions she will answer them immediately.

2/10 Terrible

Totally unacceptable
First of all it was an equipment metal building. Not a 3 bedroom" cabin". There was mold everywhere. It was filthy. There were doors leading into two bedrooms that the host could access while we were there. There were various wires that were exposed. The description of the property was extremely inaccurate. I have pictures providing proof. Vrbo let me and my family stranded with zero help finding us proper accommodations. We slept in our cars. Our vacation was ruined. Family had to drive 7 hours back home. Out group has cancer, fibromylgia, lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. We couLd not sleep with mold. The host are smokers the place smelled like smoke. There was no air conditioning and it was 84 degrees inside the "cabin" but it was an equipment building. There was grime, dirt, filth covering every surface. It truly was a nighmare. We arranged this as a last fislang trip with my husband dying of cancer and what we got was stranded without a hotel. Vrbo has still not responded. I thought there was a vrbo guarantee if the accommodations were unsafe they would house us. Still no email. No refund . To say im disappointed is an understatement. I am horrified by the lack of compassion vrbo customer service provided. My family slept in their cars and then had to drive home. I kept telling them vrbo will privide us housing. Lets just wait they will be emailing us. Thats what their site says. I still never received an email and our final last fishing trip was cancelled
