Nice alternative to local hotels
Upon approaching the property, I was a little put off. The bushes are overgrown, and the unit is in desperate need of a paint job. The front steps were wet, though it hadn’t rained . The AC unit in the front window is loud, rusty, and covered with a towel. I took the towel off and realized it was there for a reason. It spews water everywhere. Explains why everything was wet. Honestly, I was a little embarrassed that this is where I was bringing my family. But, a pleasant surprise awaited inside. The place was overall clean with a nice layout. A nice alternative to the hotel rooms in the area. Two queen beds and a futon worked well for us. Two separate bedrooms is nice too. Unfortunately, only one of the bedrooms has an AC unit. My wife and daughter took the larger bedroom, which has a large closet, and I had the smaller with no AC.
Whenever I travel, I bring a portable fan and it came in handy in getting the cooler air into that room. Otherwise, it would have been way too warm. My teenage son crashed on the futon and said it was pretty comfortable.
Very walkable to the beach and having badges included was nice. It’s also super close to the bay and my wife and I would walk over in the morning and have coffee on the benches. Aside from the bay being so beautiful, the back yard of the apartment was pretty nasty- overgrown and bug filled. Beth, the property manager was quick to respond to my messages. I’d recommend over the local hotels, but not for hanging outside the unit.
