Beach Vacations is horrendous!
I was incredibly disappointed to find the VRBO I rented went thru Beach Vacations, as prior experiences with them were awful—this vacation proved no different. Their staff are unprofessional, rude, and inefficient. We received a phone call at 3pm stating our condo was ready, and arrived to check in at 4pm. There was a line wrapped thru the inside of the lobby, and only 2 people “working” to check in guests. One of these individuals kept going on and on about her teeth extraction and how she needed to go take more pain meds—completely unprofessional. She also kept talking about how “people don’t want to work these days” as a reason for why they’re so slow. After waiting an hour with little movement in the line, which at this point was WRAPPED OUT THE DOOR INTO THE PARKING LOT, several guests began asking if there was any other staff who could check in guests. An employee from the back started shouting and waving her hands at us about how it’s not her job to check in guests. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior and am disgusted by this company and their employees. After a 2 hour wait in the line, I was finally given keys to my condo. The condo itself was beautifully updated, but disappointingly dirty for the THREE cleaning charges I incurred in order to rent the place—kitchen dirty, bathrooms dirty, trash in the bedrooms, crumbs all over the living room floor. Would recommend owners change to a different rental company with more attentive staff at checkin, along with better cleaners.
