Ask a questionAbout Kate
I am originally from New England. I came to Georgia to attend chiropractic college. After Graduating with a Doctorate of Chiropractic, I went in search of a place that had clean water, clean air and a community of people that would appreciate the energetic technique of Network Spinal Analysis. After driving the entire country including a month on the Hawaiian Islands, I chose Northeast Georgia. I love how intact its nature is, its four seasons (with a much milder winter than New England!) and its warm and kind people.
Kate purchased this Cabin in 2004
Why Kate chose Sautee Nacoochee
When I was looking for a place to live, I wanted something remote, a place I could recover. My days are long and physically, emotionally and mentally demanding. As a single woman, I wanted to feel safe and still connected to the wildness of nature. This cabin afforded me that and more.
What makes this Cabin unique
I love rocks and at the bottom of the trail to the creek there is a gorgeous rock. After sitting on the rock and soaking up the awesomeness of the "holler" (as they say up here) I knew I would buy the cabin. To my delight the inside of the cabin was gorgeous with its white pine timbers, fireplace and hot tub. It was a delicious place to live. For the years that I lived in the cabin I would meditate daily on that rock. It feels to me like being in the womb of mother nature. I had a deck built on the creek and slept on that deck many a nights. Once 6 black bear approached the deck while I was on it. Luckily they were just as surprised to see me as I was them and no harm was done! I recommend sleeping in the cabin and not leaving food outside for very long.
