Huge house

The house was huge - we kept finding new rooms. It was hard to get a thorough grasp on the layout of the house based on the online pictures. When we arrived, there were basically 3 separate sections - each with a living area and kitchenette/kitchen. While nice, it worked better for our group to have the adjoining doors open/unlocked, but some groups might prefer the separation. After a call to the property manager, someone was very quick to come and open the adjoining doors, which we appreciated.

DO NOT STAY HERE!

We were very disappointed with this house. The description is very inaccurate and the house was a total let down. This was, by far, the worst Vrbo we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of them. We ended up spending a lot of extra money on eating at restaurants, because the kitchen is nowhere close to being fully stocked as the description states. The 1 meal we cooked at the house was only because the kids were excited about cooking steaks on the grill and we had already bought a bunch of steaks. We had to marinate them in a cooler because there is no dish large enough to hold more than 2 steaks. Additionally, there aren’t even close to enough dishes, especially for 13 people (we put the correct number of people on our reservation), so we had to go buy plates to eat one meal. The towels smelled horrific. Even after washing them, we had to go buy our own towels. Below is a list of what was wrong with the listing and/or house. I contacted the person on the listing after we left and they did not respond. This “oasis” was a nightmare, and it cost us a ton of extra money because the listing is a total lie. They could care less. You can stay in a MUCH nicer home on the lake for a little more. DO NOT STAY HERE! -marijuana in the bedroom on the left when you enter door A. -Not enough towels for 13 people -Towels smell horrible -MOLD everywhere -4 dinner plates and 1 bowl in the “fully stocked” kitchen. -horrible mattresses -fake fingernail in bed -goose poop everywh
