This modern furnished luxury 3 bedroom/3 bathroom self catering Los Cortijos duplex penthouse for short term holiday rent, overlooking Calanova Golf in La Cala de Mijas, is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, as a base for golfers or if you are looking to explore the many treasures of the Costa del Sol. The complex offers excellent onsite facilities including a selection of pools, mini-SPA, gymnasium, Chill-out relax sunbathing area with jacuzzi & showers, Pétanque/Boules etc.
The Space:
One of the best south facing bright 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, duplex penthouse apartments offering a sun-drenched and furnished, spacious 30m2 solarium terrace with stunning panoramic views and all day sunshine. The terrace also offers shade with a large permanent wooden pergola, plus a collapsible parasol to use with the 2 matching sunbeds for relaxing and sunbathing. Comfortable 'al fresco' dining is offered by means of the large round terrace dining table and 6 matching comfortable chairs.
The lounge features a large chaise lounge sofa and 2 modern chairs. There is also an indoor dining area with large table and 6 dining chairs. For your comfort there is a 49" LG LED Smart TV with FREE-TO-AIR channels in English, Spanish, German, French, Russian etc and 100mb speed symmetrical unlimited Fibre Optic WiFi Internet. On the lower level there is also a large double bedroom, offering 2x 210cms long single beds and access to a full shower room with enclosed glass shower cubicle, plus a fully equipped kitchen with separate laundry area, offering a Nescafe Dolce Gusto capsule coffee machine, filter coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washing machine and clothes dryer.
On the upper level you'll find the spacious master bedroom with very high raised roof ceiling and fully equipped master en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. There is direct access to a private 10m2 covered terrace affording breathtaking views. The quality master bed is a Superking size 180cms x 200cms. There is also a separate air conditioning system upstairs, and the master bedroom features a 32" Samsung LED TV with the same selection of channels as downstairs, all independent. To the rear is the 3rd bedroom offering another 2x 210cms long single beds and a 3rd en-suite shower room with enclosed glass shower cubicle. The Fibre Optic WiFi is available throughout the property.
Also supplied is a private garage parking space, which directly connects with the penthouse by means of both a serviced lift and a manual staircase.
In the scenario where somebody with a disability wishes to stay at the property then they will have no issues by using the lift, and making use of the downstairs bedroom with shower-room (that can be used as an en-suite) as the master bedroom. The facilities around the block are all wheelchair accessible and the pool showers have been adapted too.
Guest access:
Guests will have access of the entire apartment and selection of 3 swimming pools, plus adults will have complimentary access to the SPA & gym area (consisting of a sauna & indoor jacuzzi, plus fully equipped TechnoGym gymnasium and showers), access to the local sauna, and also the chill-out sun decking sunbathing & outdoor jacuzzi area. There is a new sand pit area that has been designed to play Pétanque/Boules. The Calanova Golf clubhouse and restaurant for golfers and guests is easily accessible, serving food and refreshments all day, and offering great golf too. BBQ night usually every Friday night during the summer months.
Other things to note:
Please note that this apartment is in a fantastic privileged location, although it is a good downhill 45 minute walk, in order to reach the local amenities. Of course it only takes less than 5 minutes by rental car, or taxi, to La Cala de Mijas.
Please note that we allow late arrivals after 8pm during the week, and also weekend arrivals for a small surcharge. We charge a standard meet and greet fee of 25.00€ at the handing of the keys for all arrivals between 8pm & 11pm and during the weekend. Arrivals between 8pm & 11pm during the weekend will be charged 40.00€, paid locally on arrival. For night arrivals between 11pm & 3am, please consult us first.
The centre of Málaga is 45 km from the apartment. The nearest airport is Málaga International Airport, 38 km from the property.
Great views of the Calanova golf course for golfers and only a short distance from the Calanova Golf clubhouse offering refreshments and snacks, plus BBQ's every Friday with live entertainment during the summer months.
Strictly NO smoking and NO pets allowed. Beware of starting a careless fire! Prevention is better than cure.
The owner recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance before travelling. In case of accident occurring whilst at this holiday home is the responsibility of the holiday guest, not the owner or managing agent.
This property and the community is disabled friendly. There is a lift in the apartment building along with ramps in the communal areas providing wheelchair access. The pool and gardens are also adapted for disabled and wheelchair access. This apartment is accessed from the ground level. Please note that this apartment isn’t adapted for wheelchairs, and you can’t access the bathrooms with a wheelchair.
Once your booking has been confirmed / payment received (or at least in good time before your arrival) we will contact you to make arrangements to meet you at the property, or in the local town, La Cala de Mijas. You will be shown around the apartment with everything explained clearly by our local property managers (who speaks fluent English and Spanish!) and your questions about the local area / facilities can be answered. We want you to enjoy your holiday!
The property managers will be on hand to answer any questions or in case of any emergency or enquiry. Unlimited FREE Fibre Optic WiFi and multi-language TV is included in the rental price.
A rental car is strongly recommended for this property as it is located 4kms up the hill, although Taxis are easily available from the Taxi Rank in the local village of La Cala de Mijas. Alternatively you can use the Uber, Bolt or Cabify apps.

I'm Monica and I have several luxury modern apartments available for rent in the La Cala de Mijas & Calanova Golf areas. We wish for everybody who stays with us the most enjoyable and rewarding holiday, whether just to relax on the terrace or at the pool/beach, or for more action including golf and visiting the many treasures that the Costa del Sol has to offer. This property is located 4kms up the hill from La Cala de Mijas, to offer guests the best panoramic tranquil views of the Mediterranean Sea, Calanova Golf course, and the surrounding country including the Mijas mountain range. The private community has security concierge, and 24 hours recorded CCTV for safety in all communal areas, including the garages and portals. Guests will have access of the entire apartment, plus free access to all the community facilities including a selection of 3 large swimming pools, SPA area with jacuzzi and sauna plus showers, an additional outdoor jacuzzi and adults sun bathing chill-out area, an additional sauna, a fully equipped TechnoGym gymnasium, and a Petanque ball sand pit. Children only have access to the swimming pools and must be supervised at all times as there is no lifeguard. The SPA, gym, sauna's, jacuzzi'a and chill-out areas are all for adults only, 18+ years of age. La Cala de Mijas village is easily accessible, offering a diverse selection of restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets, car rental, beach chiringuitos, beach wooden boardwalk to Cabopino, golf course etc. La Cala offers everything you need to enjoy your holiday to the maximum, and offers easy transport links to Málaga, Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmádena Pueblo, Marbella, Estepona & Gibraltar. La Cala is situated in the centre of the golf valley, with many golf courses accessible within a 10 minutes drive.
