When you are ready to hit the beach, head down the 100+ steps to street level and enjoy an easy stroll to the middle of West Bay Beach. You'll quickly get used to the stairs - they're worth the effort to obtain those stunning views! Be aware the access may not be doable for all

Once you're on the beach, you can choose from any of a variety of fun activities to try out. Rent a kayak or paddleboard to paddle around these calm protected waters.

Or head out for a snorkeling adventure straight from the beach to the world's second-largest barrier reef below. You'll see plenty of colorful tropical fish, plus some of the most eclectic coral reef topography in the region.

Scuba dive shops are plentiful in West Bay, too, so take your pick to get even closer to that marine life. Costal character, breezes and view

Unique place full of character. Steps are challenging but then you can enjoy more island food. 5 minute walk to best beach on island. Nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom.

Staying fit while on holiday!

Nice distant views of the water. Stays cool in the breeze being higher up. Quieter being away from the beach. 106 steps coming and going keeps a person fit while on holiday…

Nice but really bad internet

Nice enough place and clean. And a nice view. But the landline internet was inop and replacement internet service (cellular) ran out of data in less than a day. Oh, and when we got there, we were required to leave $100usd deposit to cover use of air conditioning for a 3 day stay. Might as well charge extra for water! Or for the view!

Really beautiful, exactly what we needed

This place was exactly as billed -- that is, perfect. Two bedrooms upstairs, one on the main floor, all large and comfortable. Possibly the softest sheets I have ever had. We really appreciated all the small things that made the stay easy and convenient for us -- lots of beach towels, hooks everywhere, tons of DVDs, the outside shower, the clothesline and clothespins, lots of places to sit and relax both inside and outside. Yes, the walk up the hill / stairs isn't easy, but we felt fitter for doing it! Roatan is a wonderful place to be, and this was perfect for us.
