About Anne Hazeltine
I fell in love with New Orleans before I ever even got there. I knew the music scene there would speak to my soul and it does. After just my second visit, I bought this place. I like to travel with my small dog and finding somewhere that was convenient with a kitchen that allowed a small dog was nearly impossible.
Anne Hazeltine purchased this House in 2011
Why Anne Hazeltine chose Marigny
On my two previous trips to New Orleans, I had always stayed in the Marigny neighborhood. And since I travel with the dog, we had walked a lot around the area. I loved the neighborhood and everyone was so nice and interesting and welcoming. There are several wonderful coffee shops close by and the live music is so close, as is the French Quarter. And, most of the time, I can find parking near the house! (but no guarantees on that one!)
What makes this House unique
I love that I can park my car and not really need it again the whole time I am there. I can walk 4 blocks to catch the streetcar and go wander New Orleans and the Garden District. Or I can rent a bike and go all over the area. Or I can just chill in the courtyard all day. Or I can wander into the Quarter and shop for art and antiques. And the food! Oh, my, the food! Absolutely the best food and only a short walk away.

Great location! So much charm!
This place has everything you could need! The owner has thought about and paid attention to every detail! We loved the 1850s style shot gun house! So much detail and charm! Original doors were beautiful! A very easy walk to everything! Would definitely stay here again!
Everything you could ever want within stumbling distance.
I needed a place to celebrate my 50th birthday. Having grown up around New'allins, the food, music, and people have always been a part of me. When I found Frenchman street, it was love at first site. I knew if I celebrated an important benchmark, it would have to be in this city, as near to Frenchman as possible.
The house is surprisingly quiet for how close it is situated to the action. Making it a perfect place to recoup and have a little "hair of the dog" before heading back out again.
The property manager, Ginger, was always available but unintrusive. She met us for check in and then quickly answered any questions we had via sms.
This is a wonderful place to rent, and I look forward to coming back many times before my 60th!
We are thrilled to hear you had such a good 50th and that you like the house as much as we do!
Master bedroom quiet and comfortabel retreat after the night noise of the big easy. Slept like a baby without being awakened once.
Property is close to all of the eateries and clubs I enjoy. Walking distance to everything.
Kitchen has every comfort of home and every spice imaginable. Even different types of coffee in fridge for quest use.
The courtyard was my go to in the early morning and evenings before dinner. Beautiful, lush greenery abounds. My three dogs were also welcome to this property and enjoyed sunning themselves
On the cool stoes of the courtyard.
If you want to enjoy the history of a 150 year old Creole style home, this is the place for you!!!!!

This is our second stay at this property and once again, we are so thrilled with our experience! Home, perfect, location, perfect and Ginger was so great and helpful! Hope to stay here again next year!!!
Wonderful place to stay
Had a great time was able to walk to everything we wanted to do ...
Great manager and great location
Overall great location. Parking can be tricky but if you are patient you can find free. Ginger was super, super helpful and very accessible. The house was well stocked with everything we could need - including a basket of cords. Overall a great stay but one word of caution for people staying with multiple guests - the only shower is in the master bedroom, so you may have to shift around when accommodating a shower from someone not staying in the room. (There is a second bathroom up front though, so better than a lot of places we’ve stayed in terms of space to get ready!!)
This property is just one block from the renowned Frenchman Street in the Marigny Faubourg with all of the wonderful live music clubs and fabulous restaurants. Another 3 blocks and you are in the French Quarter. The charming courtyard provides a fabulous place to relax and enjoy the unique New Orleans ambiance.
The house has a queen size bed in both of the bedrooms and the couch is a queen size sleeper sofa.
