About the host
Hosted by Sonya Salierno

We are both designers and have been working the high-end residential industry for over 23 years. I currently have my own small business called "Installs By William" and I handle a variety of interior installations. My wife owns a floral design company called About-Designs. Together we are the ultimate team. We love to travel (especially to Italy which is our favorite European country to visit). We appreciate art, architecture, culture and are huge foodies. My wife is a fantastic cook, so my son and I are both very lucky guys!
We love to host family and friends and have them over as much as we are able.

Why they chose this property
There is an interesting story behind this. I was 17 years old when I first received my driver's license and was residing in Brooklyn, NY at the time. I took my father's car for a joy ride and got lost in Manhattan and found myself going through the Lincoln Tunnel. I ended up on Boulevard East and noticed a beautiful view of the NYC Skyline, so I immediately pulled over and got out of my car. I walked along the bluff there which is about 170 feet above the sea level. I was absolutely blown away by the breathtaking views. It was at that very moment when I knew that I would want to live here some day and now I'm living here.
It is set in an suburban feel without the compromise of convenience. It is close proximity to all neighboring towns that we happen to like.

What makes this property unique
This house dates back to 1891 and had undergo a series of clumsily and Hodge Podge renovations over the years. Many of the period plaster details were either in disrepair or destroyed. We restored and preserved as much as we were able while adding in some new turn of the century moulding and trim details throughout the space. We added in modern amenities for purposes of comfort and being up to date with technology.
Being that we are both designers and have worked in the high-end residential industry for man years, we selected and sourced all of the finish materials throughout.
This is one of the very few homes that has 2 entry access points to the unit with one in the front and one in the rear.
