Early departure no AC
Arrived on first day of what was to be a month long rental. However the AC was not working, I went to Lowes and purchased a window unit so my pups and I could tolerate the heat. I informed the owner and was informed an AC repair contractor would come out to service the unit. No one showed as represented to me by the owner. After 10 days of no having AC in the middle of summer I cleaned locked up and left. I informed the owner of the situation, very polite and sorry no one came to repair the AC. However my request for a partial refund was declined. I am still working with customer service in an attempt to receive a partial refund. One side note, if you like your coffee in the morning you will need to bring a coffee machine, I picked one up from Wally World on my back from buying the window unit AC. Very nice owners just failed to do the right thing.

Not a cabin
This property is a park model trailer and needs updating. I do want to say that once I communicated my disappointment, I was credited the cleaning fee. I left an entire night early because I just could not take it anymore.

Great get away
We enjoyed our stay. Highlights were the deer that appeared in the clearing every evening and the fire pit next to the stream.

About the host

I am employed by the nuclear industry and really enjoy going to our little spot of heaven in Murphy. The previous owner said her brother called this area 'the garden spot of the world'. He had traveled all over the world; but, considered this the most beautiful area. She was born and raised on the property and her father told of the Cherokee Indians living here before them and that the Cherokee indians washed their clothes on a flat rock in the creek. The rock is still there.

Why they chose this property

I always wanted to live in the mountains of North Carolina....and found this beautiful vacation spot.

What makes this property unique

Relaxing on the creek with a cold one/ or if you dare get in the creek - the cold water is awesome!
