Townhome, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths with Mountain Views
Why Carol chose Fraser
After looking at properties in Vail, we decided to purchase a property in the Winter Park area because we wanted to spend our days skiing rather than standing in lift lines. Also, the resort has skiing for all levels from beginners to expert. We fell in love with the area during summer visits taking advantage of three lakes as well as Rocky Mountain National Park within 20-30 miles of Sun River. Our family also enjoys the Alpine Slide and biking trails in the summer at the resort. Restaurants and local attractions in the area cater to families and offer reasonable costs. Local residents are welcoming and there is a real sense of community here. Located in a small development of 12 townhouses, close to U.S. 40 and along the Fraser River, it is a quick trip to the Winter Park Resort. Finally, not many properties in the area have both free WiFi and a private spa.
What makes this Townhouse unique
What attracted me to this property is that, unlike many condos and townhomes, there is plenty of space, natural light and views of Byers Peak and the ski area. The private spa on the deck has a beaurtiful view of the ski area and the Continental Divide. The bedrooms are on the lower level while the living area on the upper level has doors and windows to add to the unit's warmth. There is nothing better than the warm Colorado sun streaming in to brighten a winter day! Additionally, the other 11 townhouses are either primary or second homes for the owners that are used during ski season on the weekends and only sporadically in the summer. I hope you enjoy this property as much as my family has.

Clean and spacious
Great condo! Has a lot of room and the hot tub was a plus!
Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am happy that you enjoyed the townhouse and the hot tub after snowboarding at the resort.
Bright and spacious
This property had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The views are beautiful. There's plenty of dishes. It's a great location with the grocery store nearby. We love that the hot tub is right outside the door, and there's the ability to do laundry. Beds are comfortable and it's very clean.
Great Place to Stay When Skiing in the Mountains!
We really enjoyed ourselves while we were in the Fraser/Winter Park area. The condo is older, but in good shape! It is only a few minutes drive to the lifts as well as the offerings of Fraser and Winter Park. It is clean, affordable and most importantly comfortable! Plus the private hot tub on the back deck with a view of the slopes makes for a great night after a long day of skiing. If we ever come back to the Winter Park area, we will definitely stay here again!
Thanks, Kevin, for taking the time to review my property. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and especially the hot tub. It is a great way to relax after skiing. Hope you can come again soon.
Spacious and great location
This is our second stay here. Comfortable, light and beautiful view. Nice to have the hot tub at the door after a long day of skiing.
Happy you enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to your coming again.
Perfect place to recharge after a day on the slopes
We had a great time at the house. It had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend it.
Thanks for taking the time to review your stay.
So happy you found the townhouse comfortable and I hope you enjoyed the hot tub as well. Happy New Year!
Close, convenient, spacious and very well equipped
Our yearly Spring break trip for skiing/boarding revolves around deciding on where to go. This year was Winter Park, a long time favorite ski area, and the condo is in Frazier just 3 miles from WP and 9 miles to free parking at the base of Mary Jane where you can nearly ski to your car. The owner, Carol, was an excellent and timely person to deal with first off. We were allowed to move in earlier than the stated time and found the condo in pristine condition. The kitchen was pretty spacious and, for the first time ever in renting a condo, the freezer had an ice maker that worked! Good sets of pots and pans, and all the utilities you need to cook for 4 hungry skiers. The cooking range, like most in the area, was electric so I had to get used to that again.
While the description of the condo says 6 is the available capacity 4 was actually perfect. The bathrooms were adequate and lots of linens provided. The beds were comfortable, even the sleeper sofa which is a rarity. The bonus was the hot tub since we skied/boarded 5 straight days. We even jumped out of the tub and went and laid out in the snow before getting back in. A bit of shock therapy for getting the blood flowing! I would have to say there was only one negative is that, after skiing all day, walking up and down stairs kept us in good shape! The internet was very quick compared with other condos we had rented and the cable was OK. All in all the entire trip was great thanks to great accommodations and good snow. We were shocked though that lift tickets have become so expensive. Nearly $1500 for 3 adults for 3 days! I would definitely suggest buying season passes rather than paying the daily lift ticket price.
Thank you for taking the time to review the property.
I am happy that you found the bedding comfortable and enjoyed the hot tub. Yes, as described,in the listing, the main living area in the townhouse is on the second floor. Hopefully the parking right in front with just a few steps to the door made it convenient for you to carry in the luggage and gear. Happy you enjoyed your stay and made good use of those lift tickets.
The Winter Park Ski Resort is a world class resort and Colorado’s favorite. With its location near the Continental Divide, the resort experiences the most consistent snow, season after season. Its seven ski areas, Winter Park, Mary Jane, The Cirque, Vasquez Ridge, Parsenn Bowl, Terrain Park, and Eagle Wind are interconnected by trails and lifts, and satisfy all ability levels. It is an affordable family resort with a wonderful Ski School, where learners can actually practice on their own mountain in Discovery Park. There are also award winning parks to challenge snowboarders. The uphill lift capacity of 36,900 per hour will be increased by 3600 per hour with the new 10 person gondola from the base village to Sunspot ensuring less time in line and more time on the slopes. The new snowmaking system can open more terrain earlier in the season, and logging of pine beetle infested trees in Eagle Wind creates more terrain that glade skiers can enjoy. When you are not on the slopes, you can dine or shop in the Village at Winter Park for the total ski experience. Improvements to the Village include a stage area, large fire pit, and snow melt system under the walkways.
If you tire of the skiing, you can always go tubing in Fraser at the Fraser Tubing Hill or the Colorado Adventure Park or snowmobiling with Grand Adventures.
