Cabin, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-10)
Tim, originally from Santa Rosa and making trips to Arnold since he was a boy, purchased the cabin in 1999 and it quickly became the location for family gatherings and lots of fun all year round. Terri joined the family in 2004 and instantly fell in love with the area as well. Unfortunately we now live in southern California and are unable to get to our “home away from home” as often as we’d like… So we’ve opened it up for friends and family to enjoy. And now we invite our “new friends” from VRBO - you are welcome anytime!

Why Owner chose Arnold
Fresh air, tall redwoods, hiking, skiing, rivers and lakes, caverns... and great wine tasting in quaint Gold Rush towns. Need we say more!
What makes this Cabin unique
Relaxing outdoors on the large deck with trees all around, or inside on the comfy couches with a big fire. Add some hot chocolate or glass of wine... Heaven!

Great cabin with plenty of space!
We had a lovely stay in Arnold! The location was perfect for us and the cabin was comfy and rustic. Lots of space for our family of six. The loft became the kids’ domain and they loved it. Kitchen was well stocked and the pre-stay communication from Terry was excellent! Thanks, we will definitely return.
Yes and no
We had a good time it was close by the big springs lake. But the cabin was not really clean carpet was dirt lots of stains and not smelling good.
It looks like they do not maintain the place very well. No sliding door.
Plus there was construction going on in front of the Cabin.
Oh I am so sorry the stains on the carpet. I do wish you had contacted us or responded to our feedback form and given us an opportunity to correct it.
We put light colored (white!) carpets in the two back bedrooms because we thought it would brighten up the rooms. This was before we decided to rent out the cabin, when it was just for family use. Now, unfortunately, it can be challenging as not everyone who rents is as careful as we'd like them to be. We do have a carpet cleaner come in twice a year at the end of both the winter and summer seasons and then Ginger does her best to spot clean in between. Had we known this was an issue, we would have addressed it right away.
As for the screen door, our guest that checked out on July 23, her son accidentally ran through the screen door damaging it beyond use. We ordered a new one right away and it was installed on August 6. (Unfortunately in the mountains, they have to be ordered as there is no Home Depot in town!)
I do not know what the construction was. Usually our neighbors inform us of anything they are planning and our HOA is VERY much on top of any disruptions so I'm not sure what this was. Since this review was posted a full month after the time of your stay, I'm not sure how to follow up on it now.
Again, my sincerest apologies for your issues. I know that in spite of our best attempts, things do happen and my husband and I try to address them as quickly as possible. I wish we had been given the opportunity to do so in your case. Also, after every guest checks out, I send a feedback request asking how your stay was and if there is anything that needs our attention. I do wish you had responded. But I thank you for posting your review and I am glad to hear that you had a good time.
